Ok, so who is the baby daddy?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 22/08/2016 20:54

So the one happily married couple in Corrie and it turns out he's been having an affair for 7 years? What a load of bollocks.

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 22/08/2016 20:55

Oh and there is no way the bus would wait for that.

Lily playing in the garden with no-one keeping an eye on her? She's not 3 until Friday, and it had been raining.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/08/2016 21:32

The woman who turned up to the party..............wasn't she the actress who played Ghita (from Eastenders) sister who had an affair with Sanjay?

Run Away , Run Away Shock

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/08/2016 21:32

Ghita's sister that should be

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 22/08/2016 21:46

I was actually gobsmacked when we found out Sharif has been having an affair.

I really like him and Yasmeen so I'm gutted.

thenightsky · 22/08/2016 21:55

So is the nurse girlfriend (forgotten her name) aware of the affair, which is why she didn't want her parents to attend the party?

Or has it been going for much longer and nurse-girlfriend is actually half-sister (eek)?

Rachel0Greep · 23/08/2016 09:18

Watched last night for the first time in a while.
I still hate the way Michelle treats Steve.
I hate that Steve is the father of Leanne's baby. Nick was slightly more bearable while with Carla, IMO. Now he is back to full on face pulling 'acting'. He and Leanne were at one another's throats before they split up. Now they love one another.
I won't even comment on Sharif except to say, is that where he was going when he was supposedly at the allotment - which now appears to be forgotten anyway.
And as usual what day / time of day was that party supposed to be taking place, nobody was at work, (apart from the doctor) why do I even care... Grin

MadHattersWineParty · 23/08/2016 09:41

No way would everyone have just waited patiently on that bloody bus.

i know it was supposed to be romantic but I was just rolling my eyes! Was it the night that Nick was meant to marry Leanne she slept with Peter and he slept with Kylie who was then pregnant with Lily but luckily David was the father? If I'm remembering that right... That's a lot to move on from in three years!

Rachel0Greep · 23/08/2016 10:25

Absolutely no way. I would be fit to scream if I was waiting to travel, and looking on at that bilge.

MadHattersWineParty · 23/08/2016 11:13

Just trying to imagine everyone sitting on the Megabus watching this stupid 'love' declaration and it not causing a right ruckus Grin

I seriously would have thrown my cheese and pickle at Nick's gurning face in frustration.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 23/08/2016 14:00

thenightsky I don't think Sharif's mistress is anything to do with Rana is she? Her and her husband are sharif and Yasmin's friends.

DiegeticMuch · 23/08/2016 14:25

Leanne was deeply in love with Peter. She's had many opportunities to be with Nick permanently, but was just never that "into" him. There's no way she's suddenly in love with him now. It's sloppy, convenient writing. Ken and Deirdre always came back to one another - that was realistic - this isn't.

mollie123 · 23/08/2016 15:29

the Nick/Leanne scene reminded me of the similar storyline in Eastenders where whatsisface Moon pursued Kat to stop her getting on some vehicle/ getting married - I have chosen to forget the circs.
It is not romantic or believable but then this is soap-land Smile

NuggetofPurestGreen · 23/08/2016 19:04

That was a plane as well mollie Alfie managed to get past security and just run across the Tarmac and back on the door to be let in by the flight attendant. Very realistic Confused

unimagmative13 · 23/08/2016 23:42

Leanne gets paid good money, why get the bus would you just get the train!

MadHattersWineParty · 23/08/2016 23:49

I don't know if Leanne earns great money, she seems to merely pop her head round the door of the Bistro most days!

Optimist1 · 24/08/2016 07:48

I put their yo-yo relationship down to the fact that they were each others' first loves (they were married when young, weren't they?), so I forgive them their silliness.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 24/08/2016 10:27

Yeah they got married when they were about 17/18.

DeepBlueLake · 24/08/2016 10:44

How many times are Nick and Leanne going to get back together?! They've been on/off for almost 20 years, it's bordering ridiculous.

And I have always thought there was much more chemistry between Nick and Leanne when Adam Rickitt was portraying Nick...

DiegeticMuch · 24/08/2016 11:38

I think that Ben Price is a decent actor but he looks a bit too old to play Nick, who's supposed to be about 35 I think.

That family is weird age-wise. Sarah and Bethany look the same, pretty much. Audrey looks about 70, far too young to be Nick's grandmother. They seem to cast either old or young looking tilsleys/platts.

mollie123 · 24/08/2016 12:48

Audrey is approx the same age as she is in real life (72?) - why is she still working?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 24/08/2016 18:52

In real life Audrey is 72, Gail is 65 and Nick is 44.

In Corrie Audrey is meant to be 76, Gail 58 and Nick 35.

That was a 10week scan picture? Seemed very detailed.

PinkPearls20 · 24/08/2016 22:15

It does my head in how in soaps when they have a baby scan they never turn of the bloody lights in the room Angry
