I wish Kym Marsh was properly leaving too - I feel they are taunting us with what could have been with all this cruise ship talk.

Those asking how Sarah could afford the deposit on her house- a couple of months ago Uncle Stephen (from Canada then Milan ) bought out Sarah's shares from the Milan business-so she was going to use the money from that for her deposit.

I knew Sarah had the deposit (conveniently) given to her, but surely the next step would be to see how she could pay the rest of it. There was no mention of her checking to see if she could get a mortgage... She doesn't appear to work, she is busy telling Gary she loves him and complaining Harry won't sleep.
That would convince any lender she could repay a mortgage, even supposing she applied for one in the first place.

Didn't Rita say "Jenny has one of those flats" when Michael brough it up in the pub? Is that the flat she is buying or another one?

As Daniel lives fairly near to Coronation Street it seems strange that he has had so little contact with the Barlows. People knew about him; he wasn't one of Ken's secret children.

Who else has bought flats? I thought Rita had, as well as Jenny.

Also what are they doing with Maria? Have they just thrown her in the nick until they can be arsed to come back to the story?

i know its a long time ago, but i dont remember any story line about denise abandaning [sp] daniel.so who brought him up

deloresclaibourne, I was wondering about that, I don't remember her abandoning him, I thought she just left the street with him and said they would keep in touch or something, since he arrived he's reminded me of someone and I remembered who it was today, the drama The Road To Coronation Street was about Tony Warren and how he got it to air, well the guy who played Tony is very like Daniel

I can't remember Denise abandoning him either.

Ken's success with women is astonishing. He isn't a looker and it isn't his personality pulling them in.

No woodhill you didn't imagine it - Ken visited them about ten years ago. I'm guessing there's been an estrangement between Daniel and Denise since then and the man who's noseying about is Denise's ex.
