Yeah, the library was epic.

Lyanna Mormont though, she's stolen the whole season with three scenes

Well I suppose the question of whether Arya can change faces is solved, but not the high speed travel.

Deucebumps · 27/06/2016 06:00

Holy shit. The build up to the wildfire was brutal, I kept hoping marg would make it out. And poor Tommen! He finally grew a backbone but not in the way I wished. Loved the scene with Dany and Tyrion - not being sure she'd had the hand made right - I got quite emotional!

Although how the hell did varys travel from Mereen to Dorne and back so quickly?

LadyStarkOfWinterfell · 27/06/2016 06:04

Wow
That was epic. So good. R+L=J!! The King in the north! The north remembers...cersei is an insane badass but she won't last long. Poor margaery, I liked her. The sparrows and the rest of the tyrells can go to fuck though.
I wonder if the dorne story will join up with daenarys and the greyjoys.
Looks like we won't have the queen in the north, but cersei still needs to be brought down by the younger queen, I'm assuming daenarys.
Ooh I'm all over excited. Might watch again now before work

ItsyBitsyBikini · 27/06/2016 06:25

Sweet baby Jesus and the orphans that was epic!
Poor Margery and Tommen. Was really hoping the Tyrells would make it out.
Nearly cried when Dany gave Tyrion the hand of the Queen sign.
Go Arya! The Frey pie was astonishing but so glad that's one less enemy for the Starks.
Yay lady Mormont rules, she's absolutely awesome.
How the hell did Varys get to Dorne and back so quickly?!

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 27/06/2016 06:43

Oooyah bugger. That was good. I need to watch again now to take it all in...

HandbagCrab · 27/06/2016 06:49

That was amazing! Shame about Marge but the rest needed to go. Arya in the game finally, can't imagine Black Walder pie is going to be troubling any other menus soon. Jon is finally acknowledged for being handsome and awesome. Loved how Littlefinger just faded into the background, BoJo take note. Loved Olenna shutting up the sandsnakes, felt that was breaking the fourth wall! I'm off to trawl the Internet to find out what Lyanna Stark said to Ned - I'm sure the sound engineers and lip readers have already figured it out :)

LadyStarkOfWinterfell · 27/06/2016 06:55

There's a servant/midwife at the tower with lyanna. Is she relevant?

AnnaChronism · 27/06/2016 07:18

I'm watching now.

youngestisapsycho · 27/06/2016 07:21

Amazing music in that episode.

LadyStarkOfWinterfell · 27/06/2016 07:22

I thought the music was incredible too. The first scenes with the sept and cersei were extraordinary and beautiful with the haunting music

WingMirrorSpider · 27/06/2016 07:37

Chuff, that was good.

I'm not sure I like the King in the north stuff though - we all know where that led to last time...

The fleet at the end was epic and brought a lump to my throat. I definitely saw some Martell Suns on the sails and I think some Tyrell roses so it looks like Olenna's on board with Ellaria.

WingMirrorSpider · 27/06/2016 07:38

Yes, music was gorgeous, especially the first kings landing bit.

And I want to be Lyanna Mormont when I grow up.

AnnaChronism · 27/06/2016 07:47

The music is beautiful. The wild fire scene, gobsmacking.
I'm surprised at Tommen's death, poor Tommen.
Just watching Ser Davos now.

Middleoftheroad · 27/06/2016 07:56

Beautifully orchestrated. The music and that opening section were equisite. God Cersei you are deliciously wicked.

It was a very satisfying episode.scores were settled and loose ends tied up. Arghh the bloody whispers though.

Couldnt quite see Robert Mountainstein's face and wasnt sure if it was just my TV but guessing not....

FyI you have to watch Now TV live to see GoT rather than look for the icon etc..not that it matters now.

I'll be back later...

WingMirrorSpider · 27/06/2016 08:05

Jaime's definitely going to kill Cersei next season though isn't he?

SausageSmuggler · 27/06/2016 08:12

I'm marking my place but not watching until tonight so lalala can't hear anything!!

TheNorthRemembers · 27/06/2016 08:32

Jon was meant to be the third head of the dragon in Rhaegar's thinking. He already had children called Rhaenys and Aegon, and Jon was meant to be a girl called Visenya along the lines of Aegon the Conqueror and his sisters. So he would be something like Viserys.

Pinkerbeller · 27/06/2016 08:37

Fuckfuckfuck! Just amazing. And now I'm stupidly late for work, back later!

Trills · 27/06/2016 08:44

I thought the little birds meant Varys was in King's Landing. I forgot that they belong to Qyburn now.

Why and how can Arya use faces? Where did she get that face from? Did she steal it from the House of Black and White? Did she kill someone to get it?

The Mountain does not have Jon's head. Good.

LadyStarkOfWinterfell · 27/06/2016 09:03

Arya would have no bother killing to get a face.

AgingJuvenileBinkyHuckaback · 27/06/2016 09:08

Well that was satisfying. And very nicely paced - they didn't use their extra ten minutes for gosh bang wow stuff but for quiet moments to make sure that each development had its proper impact - otherwise it would have felt silly jumping from scene to scene to scene.

There was a lot of stuff there which we expected. Of the lot, I think the only things I wasn't expecting due to speculation or location spoilers were a) the fact that Tommen's death was due to suicide b) Marjery's death c) the fact that it was little Lyanna who got the big North Remembers speech rather than the old men.

But that doesn't matter, sometimes it's not about the shocks, it's just about seeing the inevitable played out beautifully. I cried at the Tyrion/Dany scene and also the White King scene, but I'm not a morning person, so I'm always emotionally vulnerable at 7am.

LadyStarkOfWinterfell · 27/06/2016 09:17

Oh and Frey pie! So glad that happened

StopLaughingDrRoss · 27/06/2016 09:58

FUCK - Tommen Sad
