pyro are you allowed on 5 times? Confused

I did not know that. Someone did ASOIAF a series or so ago and the questions were BRUTAL. I didn't get many. I'd like to do it but I have other topics.

I also really want to do Pointless. 2 friends of mine have. They both (separately) got trophies, but both failed their last question.

Yes it's based on The Wars Of The Roses

Middleoftheroad · 23/06/2016 10:49

Pyro Double wow!

EverySongbirdSays · 23/06/2016 10:50

This is someone doing Game Of Thrones series, it's not that bad.

It's the guy who did the books had it hard

Yes every you are! If you audition, pass that, have a subject they like (and fit the demographic they're looking for - young(ish) and female in my case).

Most people will only do it once - but I'm determined to get to the final one year.

pyrowall · 23/06/2016 11:00

I also have a pointless trophy - we lost by 1!

EverySongbirdSays · 23/06/2016 11:15

One of these days I will.

I see no problem with specialist, you just swot, but I have gaps in my wider general, so eg composers/operas/classical music/certain sports/science

OP posts:
EverySongbirdSays · 23/06/2016 11:17

To lose by one, THE DEVASTATION.

What, generically, was your topic (no need to out yourself)

Film, Sport, etc?

OP posts:
pyrowall · 23/06/2016 11:37

every
Films of a particular actor - it was a while ago when there wasn't a range of topics as they do now

EverySongbirdSays · 23/06/2016 11:43

That's my dream category. I'd die if I lost by one, in fact, one of the reasons I haven't been on is because I've won so many times at home I couldn't cope if I lost for real Blush

Is Alexander Armstrong as smooth in real life?

Envy
OlennasWimple · 23/06/2016 12:09

Not sure these add much but posting in case someone can divine some hidden meanings

More Qs...

Is Robin betrothed to anyone already? Or did his mad mother not arrange that before she died?

How did LF and Catelyn know each other as children? Is LF from the north despite the roving accent?

What is supposed to happen with Sam's horn? Where is it now?

whatevermaycome · 23/06/2016 12:13

This made me laugh - alll the mistakes made by the Starks last episode

m.youtube.com/watch?v=69izikDS_ys

pyrowall · 23/06/2016 12:27

every he is quite smooth

Richard Osman is soooo tall - my sister and I were standing on the second tier - and he was as tall as us standing on the floor!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 23/06/2016 12:41

Littlefinger and Catelyn grew up together. His family had some land on the Fingers, not all that far from The Eyrie, but were otherwise very poor.

EverySongbirdSays · 23/06/2016 12:43

Both friends said Richard was nicer than Xander.

Littlefinger's father was a hedge knight, they are originally from Braavos. He was taken in by the Tullys as a "foster" the way Ned and Robert were by Jon Arryn and Theon by Ned though that was more forced.

They were lowborn and poor but his father had made a name for himself so it was a great honour to have the condescension of a great house.

He was in love with Catelyn but too lowborn for her. He STILL has a chip on his shoulder about this.

He challenged Ned's brother to a duel for Catelyn and was roundly beaten, only surviving because Catelyn begged for his life. He was seen as a bit of a joke, not worth finishing off.

It was all a humiliation for him.

Sam has a Horn.

This Horn may or may not be The Horn Of Joramun.

Blowing the Horn of Joramun may or may not bring the wall down.

The Robin of the books, is six years old, has epilepsy, is still breastfed, considered "sickly" and it is believed will die before adulthood and lose The Vale to his cousin perhaps even if he lives. He asks serial bigamist Sansa to marry him, but believes her to be Littlefingers bastard daughter, the identity she is currently claiming in the book universe.

EverySongbirdSays · 23/06/2016 13:01

Name Change Fail. Still me though.

OP posts:
TheNorthRemembers · 23/06/2016 13:20

Sansa is even worse thank Dany and Margery in the books in terms bethrotals. She was engaged to nearly every eligible bachelor at one point, bless. I can see why that pisses her off.

TheNorthRemembers · 23/06/2016 13:21

In fact book readers has all sorts of theories about her engagements.

thetemptationofchocolate · 23/06/2016 15:20

Seeing Wun Wun stuck full of arrows reminded me of something I read in a book about the Crusades.

Sometimes the heavy horses ridden in to the charge came back after the battle so full of arrows that they looked more like hedgehogs.

Middleoftheroad · 23/06/2016 16:08

In the books Baelish tells Tyrion he took both Cat and Lysa's maidenhoods. Unsurprisingly Tyrion is not convinced.

He does have a huge chip and his plan for next episode will possibly be that she marry him or Robin. Of course, the teasers always play with us.

Hoping for some Bran visions re Tower of Joy. Wonder if young Ned's in cast list - apologies, I know it will have been said on here already!

CaitAgusMadra · 23/06/2016 17:55

LF believes he had both Cat and Lysa's maidenheads..there was a feast when they were young. LF had too much wine & tried to kiss Cat. She pushed him away laughing. Later that night Lysa comes to his bed to comfort him. He is so drunk he thinks it is Cat and even calls her Cat.

After LFs duel with Brandon Lysa helps to nurse him. She comforts him at this time and he thinks it is the first time

Poor Lysa just kept living him - no matter what he did to show how much he loved Cat Sad. No wonder she went bat shit

EverySongbirdSays · 23/06/2016 19:41

Blimey Cait you've topped my knowledge I don't remember that convo at all. What book is that? Impressed. High Five. I love the Game Of Thrones Threads Gang.
