I felt like I was having a heart attack throughout the entire episode.

My heart is still in my mouth. I want to go to bed but I don't think I can move. Shock

Love Sansa by the way. Think she is the scrappiest character on the show, after all she has been through. I relate to her a lot.

NeedACleverNN · 20/06/2016 22:50

Just watched the episode again and who are the people burning on the crosses just before the fighting??

EverySongbirdSays · 20/06/2016 22:50

I will never forgive Sansa for sacrificing her own people and supporters (her kith and kin) for her own political ends. Again. How many times are we supposed to make allowances for her, because she is young, scared or cannot foresee the consequences of her actions?! She is simply selfish, and does not care about anybody else, but herself

But North Confused how did she sacrifice them?! They would have lost without the Knights Of The Vale

Have amended my blanket design to include Arryn now.

TheNorthRemembers · 20/06/2016 22:55

Well, Sansa could have said that the Knights of the Vale are currently considering whether to join us, let us wait a few days before we attack the Boltons.

TheNorthRemembers · 20/06/2016 22:57

Rowan It is Loras with the High Sparrow. Not sure about the man at the door. Have to check.

HappyGoLuckyGirl · 20/06/2016 22:57

But then she ran the risk of Ramsey staying put in winterfell and waiting them out.

YesThisIsMe · 20/06/2016 22:58

The man being harassed by the High Sparrow is Loras after a haircut.

EverySongbirdSays · 20/06/2016 23:01

She also ran the risk of Baelish not showing and looking a twat - also because Jon is a man of honour and Littlefinger totes isn't Jon fucking up by expecting honour

De-lurking to ask if anyone noticed that when Rickon took his last gasp of air and died the light changed. It suddenly went dark? Jon was definitely protected by something...he was like a man possessed...he looked crazy and Tormund had to shake him a bit. He was just in the zone of killing.

Sansa is sneaky. She underestimated Jon I think and looked surprised to see him alive as he went after Ramsay. They are very different - Jon is all about honour and doing whats right. He doesnt play games. Sansa has learnt from Littlefinger and Ramsay...she is willing to do anything. I cant get past her not mentioning the Knights of the Vale to Jon....she didnt even say she'd asked them for help!

WeDoNotSow · 20/06/2016 23:03

If Sansa is queen in the North then the Starks are lost forever.
Not married = no heir
Married = loses name.

And we've been repeatedly told there must always be a stark in Winterfell.
So Bran needs to get his arse back with his downloaded knowledge, or Jon Snow needs to be legitimised.

I think after all Sansa's scheming little finger will do her in, with everyone expecting it to be the other way round.

There must always be a Stark in Winterfell.

QueenOfThorns · 20/06/2016 23:12

The problem with watching at 9 pm is how many pages you lot get through in the meantime!

But that was great, so glad that Tormund and Davos made it - Mel's number is surely up next week. I don't think the Wall will come down this series - too many episodes to go, and KL being razed to the ground should be enough of a spectacle.

kungfupannda · 20/06/2016 23:14

I liked the 'you total bitch' look that Ramsey gave Sansa when the knights of the vale arrived.

I thought Sansa was smirking at Ramsey, not Jon.

EverySongbirdSays · 20/06/2016 23:15

Sansa was quite definite the Bolton name was DONE.

If she's pregnant one might assume she'll do a Mormont and have her child take her name as many single mums have done.

She's also technically a Lannister (that pesky first husband)

I maintain that the Starks are linked to their wolves

Jon is a Ghost
Robb is a Grey Wind
Summer ended with Bran
Rickon is a Shaggy Dog story
Sansa's no longer a Lady
Arya's a warrior

But surely if the bastards of men are accepted then the bastards of women should be without question?

Rowanhart · 20/06/2016 23:31

Thanks for the Loras tip. The thing that freaks me out about back of head bloke at end is looks like Stannis. Which of course, can't be.

I think Jon will send Melisendre away. That will be her punishment. Separation from the 'prince she was promised'.

FoxesOnSocks · 20/06/2016 23:34

Well that was epic!!!!

Fabulous battle scene; so gruesome (poor horses) it felt like an actually real battle (should they involve Giants and what not). So pleased Ramsy is deaded, until his dogs ate him I wasn't too confident he wouldn't some how get out of the situation.

I think Sansa didn't mention the Vale crowd because Jon wasn't going to listen/agree with her anyway. She seems to have really lost all the shits and fucks she could give, so Jon won't listen so she just doesn't give a shit and carries on her way. Wondering if she might become Ramsey-esque, Ramsy's there's a piece of me in you might be his recognising one sociopath in the making and meant her temperament rather than pregnancy. Well either that so whatever he did to her he litrally left something inside her. The sick fucker.

EverySongbirdSays · 20/06/2016 23:36

It would be unwise of Jon to dismiss a witch look what happened to Dany.

Here's a trailer breakdown. According to this, the guy kneeling is Loras and the figure with his back turned is Lancel

MustStopAndThinkBeforePosting · 20/06/2016 23:36

Jon was utterly thick in that and didn't deserve to survive that battle. What an idiot charging at a row of archers alone - basically suicide. A cavalry charge can only work with massive overwhelming numbers so that however many fall during the charge a decent number get through. Sorry I am no longer rooting for Jon to survive - he is destined to be awarded the Ned Stark endowed "Darwin award for assistance to Natural Selection by allowing emotions to overcome basic common sense"

Loving Yara's line about being up for anything.

RJnomore1 · 20/06/2016 23:36

I totally don't get that battle scene. Or more to the point how John was untouched. Surely the cavalry would have gone straight for him on foot thinking his army would be easy pickings without him? Not just cruise past?

raisedbyguineapigs · 20/06/2016 23:37

Re the Stark name, I think they might be going somewhere with the female leaders. Yara and Dani are unlikely to marry either, or have children, yet they are both leaders.

RJnomore1 · 20/06/2016 23:41

Oh and Sansa TOLD John - how thick is he!! She was definitely smirking at Ramsay. I thought I saw a flicker of relief on her face when she saw John was still alive.

raisedbyguineapigs · 20/06/2016 23:42

RJ I think he was being protected by some greater spirit, to survive for some reason. Jon has been wet for this season, but I thought he redeemed himself in that episode. All full of rage and covered in blood while Ramsey didn't even go into battle. I expected his men to turn on him more quickly. They didn't want to fight for him, and he didn't even do anything, compared to Jon.

WeDoNotSow · 20/06/2016 23:45

I mean, I suppose if she usurps her brother and makes herself queen, she can call her baby whatever she wants.
It'd still be the spawn of Satan, and seriously, who would take that risk?

RJnomore1 · 20/06/2016 23:46

Jon did seem to wake up this episode. He's spent the rest of the series asleep. In the books doesn't being brought back change you, I've wondered if he's been changed. I may have posted that before.
