My kitchen resembles something from Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmares tonight. I've done a messy Mary Berry chicken recipe which splits into 6 portions and two lots of soup. Good for the freezer but lots and lots of washing up.

What's everyone up to this weekend?

Sleeping lots, eating lots & hopefully some good dog walking weather. And more sleep!

Solo childcare and finding a London hotel for next week that won't bankrupt me because I'm not sure work will cover it.

Work all day tomorrow (argh) and then catching up Sunday as intending on lying on the sofa and doing nothing but perving at aramis hopefully wearing leather trousers again tomorrow night.

Morning all! Finally managed to finish work last night, off for nearly 3 weeks!

Got plenty of holiday packing to finish today then wedding tomorrow. Hectic weekend.

I must have used all my sleepover mojo up last night after I got them down relatively early. They've been up since 5:45, and just had their second breakfast. MrP about to leave for 3 days as well.

Coping with my worry by writing Molly's reply to CJ's hot letter. She's going off to do brave stuff in Greece. Am needing to take what is happening in Turkey on board though. It's not far from Lesvos.
I have been to both places. Went to Gallipoli for the 90th Anniversary- simply amazing. They love Kiwis there, same as in Greece, particularly Crete. Lots of common history during both World Wars.
Alice is out of Nice, not sure where, they've changed their route, I think, I feel relieved for us but so sad for all the people who lost loved family and friends.
I'm wondering whether your thoughts about Brexit are shifting at all, given recent events in Europe?

Sunny and hot day today, I've rushed around like a mad women this morning to get washing done to hang out! And now I'm sitting in the garden until MIL arrives! Why can't I have one weekend when nothing happens!

I'll have to watch Musketeers on catch up. This is the first evening we have had that we can sit outside, so I'm taking advantage of cold wine and sitting out enjoying the garden. Our jasmine is in flower and the smell is divine!

Sitting outside too richtea! No jasmine and cider instead of wine but it's lovely and the first time it's been warm and dry enough. Aramis the midwife sounds intriguing!

It's been a really weird sort of day. My antique chest of drawers came back early this morning so I had to make sure I was up and dressed by 8am. Not usually dressed by that time at weekends! Decided last night on a trip down memory lane where my grandma used to live and I was fine about it but when I came home and started putting stuff back in the chest of drawers, I came across some papers which I had shoved aside relatng to my Mum's funeral. I should never have read them, I know I shouldn't, but then it brought back all sorts of memories.

Like some of you, I've been out in the garden tonight, mainly cutting stuff back as everything has gone mad with the humidity and heavy rain!

The grapes and tomatoes are doing very well (for anyone who hasn't seen the photos on Facebook).

Supposed to be 30 degrees here Tuesday! One extreme to the other. Currently stood in a field getting savaged by horse flies whilst the dog runs around like a loon.
