MrP away with work this weekend so I'm on rugby coaching duty. We have a very exuberant afrikaaner to replace the usual coach. Pretty easy on the eye

Took a while for the sun to break through here but it's very warm now and was really too hot for cutting back an unruly fruit bush plus am scratched all over my arms.

Think I'm turning into a grumpy old woman as I was a bit too sharp with my elderly neighbour this morning. He told me he put brown sauce on my lovely Mary Berry chicken pie last night. It has a wine and cream sauce with it. Why he needed brown sauce offended my good taste and it was a bit insulting. I should just have bitten my tongue and shut up!

Oh ilove you are a tonic that's the first thing to make me laugh today as I feel very low spirited and listless. Sorry, though, I do understand why you would find that annoying. Was the brown sauce a serving suggestion or just mentioned as an aside as in "I ate it with chips and brown sauce." I've been annoyed occasionally when I've made things and DH has shoved sauce on it - the current favourite is mayonaise with everything - ugh! The other thing that annoys me is insistence on eating bread with food particularly when there's already plenty of carbs in it. I feel as though I'm being told it's not a hearty enough meal.

Thanks for the comments on the story - not sure that chapter turned out very well to be honest but I had a bit of a dilemma wondering how true to stick to the original storyline or not, perhaps made the wrong decision! Hey ho!

Will try to be around for the watchalong - can't resist CJ's hospital bed face when Molly strokes his fevered brow! I did see Musketeers last night and amused myself by reading the Musketeers thread comments. Apparently, Aramis has morphed into Sherlock, Porthos has joined the cast of Call the Midwife - can't wait to see him in that fetching red cardigan, D'Artagnan has become very commanding in his black leathers and Athos - well they haven't built the cell that can hold even an injured Athos yet!

Evening all.

Have had a really upsetting couple of days. My best friends husband passed away on Friday evening, he was only in his late 30's, he ended up in hospital last Sunday evening, but unfortunately there was nothing they could do for him. It all seems so surreal, we had all spent the day together for my DS christening and a week on he is no longer with us. I have spent the last few evenings with my friend and my other friend came down to stay with her for the weekend. It's so sad she had two beautiful DD and the youngest will never even know who her dad was. I had to go back to church today so DS could formally be welcomed, I felt a bit silly as I started crying, I think it was because of the memories of last week.

Hoping to do the watch along tonight. Need to go and put my tablet on charge, as don't think it will last out otherwise.

I've been wifiless for two days, back to normal now! Camp good, all exhausted and mucky, kids loved being able to run wild for two days, I got used to not worrying that I'd not seen them for hours!!! Result!

Oh heli how tragic

I've been rather emotional past few days. Think because mum should have been here to celebrate L's 3rd birthday and instead she's starting radiotherapy and chemotherapy. It's just really hit me. I cried my eyes out in work on Friday

So sorry to hear that heligirl. These unexpected things come as such a shock. When you're trying to support someone else it can be very difficult when you have your own grief to deal with as well as grief on their behalf. A friend of mine passed away last year at far too young an age and I still find myself in tears at times over things, just thoughts, memories or anniversaries. Hope there are plenty of people around to help.

Sorry not had chance for a proper catch up but sounds like a few of you need some big hugs. Thinking of you all xxx

It is indeed the last episode Berlin. I think my DVD is nearly worn away the number of times I've watched certain scenes over and over again!
