Afternoon, proper day off today. Trying to get few small things for L's birthday next Monday, can't believe he's gonna be 3!

Some great FF updates at the moment. Am really enjoying them.

Hope we get an air date soon especially as they've said Poldark starts 4th September. It's 10 episodes this time. So OG could broadcast after it and would finish just before Christmas.... Or a different night. As long as they don't mess around with it like Musketeers Angry

How can I be this tired when it's only Tuesday? Had a bit of a drinking session on Saturday afternoon and I swear I'm still paying the price.

Lovely update Jen, but that sort of change in pace can't be good for old CJ Wink

Glad to hear your mum has a treatment plan in place. As everyone says doing something has to feel positive

I did get a letter a bit like that, many years ago and I've still got it. The writer was someone I fell desperately in lust with when I was just a wee bit older than Molly and it was never going anywhere permanent.
No one else has ever seen that letter and I pull it out from time to time just to remind myself that someone once felt that way about me..
I replied to it in similar fashion. Can't remember the exact words - no copiers/printers in homes in those days- but I think I'm going to use it as a model for her reply.
For the record, I did carry out the instructions given and had the most amazing ten days of my misspent youth in a beach house that belonged to his wealthy family. He was a very naughty boy and he would have been a total disaster on a permanent basis, but he certainly knew how to make a girl blush.
And he was an Englishman with a very posh accent. Could easily have come from somewhere like Bath.

Sht, sht, sh*t. I think I've committed a cardinal sin here. Spoke to somebody on my mobile, thought I'd cut the call at the end but hadn't and think she has probably heard me say some rather rude things about her attitude. If she hung up first, would it still show as an active call as I'd been the one to ring her, not the other way round? Clutching at straws here......... I should know better! Need to be on the defensive tomorrow!

Oh ilove Shock I'm not sure as all phones are probably different but on mine if the other person disconnects first the call is ended straight away. Just make up some excuse you were having a bad day or maybe her phone was away from her ear so she didn't hear...

Eeek, thanks Maddie. Tested it out at home and I think she was still connected. To be honest, what I said I do believe and stand by it so I need to be defensive. I'm helping her out at the end of the day so hopefully she will decide to keep quiet! It's in her own interests really she says hopefully.

Hi everyone
RL has been getting in the way this last week, so have not been able to get on. Had DD 4th birthday party and DS christening at the weekend, so all of last week was spent making and decorating cakes, my kitchen look like something out of the bake off tent. I also ended up going into work a couple of time as they were short staffed, I'm not officially due back until Oct, so I think I gave myself a bit too much to do, was a bit stressed out by Friday, but it all went well.

Missed the watch along, but read through the comments and was like I was watching it.

ice sorry to hear about your mum, but its good that they have a treatment plan in place and they are starting soon.

Off to get DS up for his lunch and then off to mummy and baby yoga. Nearly dropped him last week, as he is getting heavy, so will hold on tight this week! Grin

Well if she did hear what I said mooj, she is a very good actress and pretending everything is hunky-dory. As I said though, I am really putting myself out to help her (it's the DoE stuff) so if she said anything, she could chance me backing out of the whole learning a new skill thing. I don't think she's daft enough to do that.

The phone was by my side, not up to my ear, so hopefully if the call was still active, the reception as we walked along and it was probably rubbing on my dress as we walked, would have masked anything really bad! It's just that I felt myself and my best gardening friend (who was showing her son round her garden) were being inconvenienced because the mother and son have their tea at a set time each day. I thought that for once they should, in the words of dear CJ, "put some bloody effort in" and prepare to be inconvenienced just the once.

Yes ilove I agree but glad she hopefully didn't hear too much.

Feel grumpy after a long few days at work and feels like no end in sight with no annual leave till mid sept and it's ridiculously busy due to sickness and loads of people leaving. Urgh. Sorry moany mads moment. I'm off to try and resurrect a lamb leg which has probably been in the slow cooker for way too long!

I'm happy to join you in the moan fest mads. Work has reduced me to tears twice today (plus I was working instead of reading DS his bedtime story) and to top it off I landed on my ankle in a very wrong way at soft play this afternoon and its agony right now. Can't put any weight on it.

Seriously if you have a scarf or similar that you can make a compression bandage around your ankle it will help Smile or drink more! Dr mads is shutting up now

I'll join you in a work whinge. There's still no news on the circumstances in which the woman at work died unexpectedly and it does seem to be a very depressing and a regular talking point.

I've been soooooo tired as well today. One of my colleagues kept yawning and it was definitely catching!

Can I join In the work winge ... Had to do a team building lunch today, mostly team building, not much lunch no.alcohol ... Why? Who knows! We all already know each other and talk to each other, not sure how working out how to build towers together will improve that ... Unless it's to unite us in the moaning about having to do team building. wtf! Anyway, this time next week and less than 24 hours till fleabag! So excited!!! 😀😀😀

I think we've given up on team building cr@p Nickel. We're in austerity measures so no money for frivolities, thank goodness! That is, unless we do it ourselves like when we hold our cake judging competitions. As head judge I can say that's a great morning not working!
