Anyone watching it? What do you think? Just about to watch episode four on BBC 4 and I'm really enjoying it.

If it was Romain's father, wouldn't they have mentioned it when they said the DNA results ruled out Romain? Surely the report would have said, it's not Romain but is a very close match? way too overly-invested in this Grin

Yes, APLACE, that's true but then is the father of her baby necessarily her killer? She did seem to have a complicated private life.

If they now have the DNA of the father and he is the killer, on a purely pragmatic note, why will it take two more episodes to wrap it up?

I too am way over invested!

Its the driving instructor on the photograph behind Romain, that the jeweller recognises.
Not that it means he killed Lea. But he was more involved with her than most people knew.

I just rewatched and paused the end frames where they were showing the jeweller the photos. I reckon the man he recognises is the racing instructor but right at the back of the photo in profile is another man so it could also be him. And I haven't got a clue who he is!

Right all caught up. I think it's the uncle. Always have from episode one. It's always someone close to the family but on the edge of the programme. Same with The Missing.
I am waaaaaay to into it

Just binge-watched 3 weeks worth. Yikes. In any case, I'm leaning towards the Uncle. Perhaps Lea was threatening to tell Cris about her dad's girlfriend and he snapped. He seems to be insanely obsessed about her not finding out about his double life although she probably already knows

Saw this thread by accident a few days ago so downloaded it & have binge-watched.

What a brilliant series!

I think it's either the driving instructor or the uncle, for all the reasons that have been mentioned already.

Was also suspicious of Elodie(?) the girlfriend of the suicide/murder guy - she was supposed to have been home in bed but her bf saw the picture placing her in the club at quarter to 3.

Can't wait til Saturday...!

Mango yy I had forgotten about Elodie. I did think it could have been her in a fit of jealousy . . . But then we saw her finding Nicholas' body. So if the same person murdered Lea and Nicholas then I don't think it can be her. Although I am sure her part of the evening will come out in the next episode.

Oh good point about Elodie. I've been assuming mostly that it was a man but it might not have been.
When she was phoning Nico and he wasn't answering she flung down the phone, stormed next door to what we now know is the garage and knocked before she opened it to find Nico in the car. Why did she knock? Was she expecting him to be there? But she didn't know where he was and was phoning him to find out.

Love this series!! So many red herrings and possibilities. After many changes of mind I think Chris killed her after discovering Lea was sleeping with her dad/jealousy over Romain. Uncle 'speeded' over to help bury body. Nico had worked out something dodgy about the uncle hence his wake appearance. Uncle was quick to say that Nico 'must be on tranx and alcohol' when he had thrown him out. Uncle then drugs and kills Nico. Uncle is father of Lea's baby. The dna will point to the dad but it will be the uncle! Cue awfulness all round.

Agree the acting has been superbe!

Thanks Gypsy. I have also at times wondered if uncle was really Lea's dad (lots of affairs going on) and Chris found out and went mad and killed her. Always in her cousin's shadow and now has to share her dad! I may have an overactive imagination though... Grin

Just binge watched this over the last few days and then came looking for a thread!

My first thought was Romain's father, although possibly only as the pendant purchaser/father of Lea's baby rather than murderer. Not sure.

I thought (but may well have imagined) that when we saw each character learn of Lea's death, Romain was in the dark crying and his father was standing next to him shaking in shock. But I was watching it on a very small screen whilst feeding a baby... I want to go back and look, but don't remember which episode and can't face trawling back though it all!
