Anyone watching it? What do you think? Just about to watch episode four on BBC 4 and I'm really enjoying it.

Yes he did cross my mind but as he has not featured really I would find it a bit irritating if it were him. The rich powerful man with influence certainly fits the bill for involvement.

Just binged and am up to date! I agree that the Uncle looks very dodgy, also jewellery guy seemed to look in his direction on the photos. But still 2 episodes to go so maybe not. The kid who plays Zoe is a brilliant actor, I just want to give her a cuddle!

Not read the whole thread because I'm just watching ep5. Anyone else find it really odd regarding the way the parents viewed her body. It obviously happened before they gathered evidence and there was no attempt to shield then from the brutality of it. Is that just the way things are France in France and I've watched too many US crime dramas!

Any more info on who was the 'less smartly dressed' man at the funeral?

And i still say the parkkeeper will make a reappearance - 2 episodes to go. I think we are being primed to think it was chris - so it isn't! But she may know who it is.....
And yes, there is a reason why she 'had' to show her uncle the photo in ep. 1 , and i reiterate that uncle gave her 50 euros! A very generous 17th present, in my book.

50 euros is 39 quid, it's not that much IMO for a man who owns a restaurant to give his niece for her 18 th birthday.

I agree dione for 18th birthday but 17th maybe a bit generous - not outlandishly so i agree.
The one outcome that would really annoy me would be if curly hair lady did it!

The 17th birthday in France is the equivalent of the 18th in the UK, ie the big important one, so I don't think the 50 euro present is anything noteworthy, really.

I am convinced it is her boyfriends dad, too scared to watch this episode though!

Great so far. It was odd that Uncle Jean was already at the grave when the dad showed up. He really shouldn't have stolen the file, for his own future sanity. Those images will haunt him.

Chris looked very possessive, holding Zoe to say goodbye when the parents were going to the council do. I wonder if the mum felt uneasy with it. I know Zoe is cute, but 7 or 8 is too old to be picked up.

My theory was it's Chris, but Jean's covering for her and he killed Nicolas. But maybe it is him!

Oooh, I think Jean has said too much. But now he seems to be explaining away how he knew about the brick. And yes, the music was very dramatic when they were off to the evening do at the council - I worried that Chris was going to murder Zoe!
