Anyone watching it? What do you think? Just about to watch episode four on BBC 4 and I'm really enjoying it.

OP posts:

Arghhh checked back to earring and read a spoiler, best stay off hear til I've seen them all

secondhoneymoon · 19/06/2016 10:50

'Checked back here to see if any more about earring' I meant

Allofaflumble · 19/06/2016 11:09

Molina was bloody gorgeous! I love that body type, all cuddly and scrummy.

JustDanceAddict · 19/06/2016 11:22

Watched 2 so far so am going to come back to this later, don't want to see spoilers!

secondhoneymoon · 19/06/2016 11:29

Yes definitely keep away! I posted above that I'd just got into it and spoilers were posted straight after which is a shame because I didn't see what they posted about coming

Cherry2605 · 19/06/2016 11:36

Lea had one of Chris' earrings the night she died as she found it in Romain's car. The Police knew about the earring but never found it. Lea's little Sister Zoe then found both earrings in Chris' room. Chris had taken the earring back after she killed Lea.

Cherry2605 · 19/06/2016 11:44

Oh and the police photographed the remaining earring that Chris had so they knew what they were looking for......that's how I remember it anyway

Iggity · 19/06/2016 11:55

c'était fantastique

I suggested to DH that we might want to go to Lyon (triste!)

APlaceOnTheCouch · 19/06/2016 12:01

I've just caught up with it this morning and even though we nearly all guessed about the driving instructor being involved with Lea, and about Chris and the uncle as suspects, I still really liked it.

Cherry yy I thought the same as you about the earring. They had a photo in evidence so they knew what they were looking for. Chris having both earrings meant she saw Lea after Lea's argument with Romain.

The actors who played the detectives were excellent and very well written. I hope they give them another series.

Orangetoffee · 19/06/2016 12:22

Ah that makes sense now, thanks cherry

secondhoneymoon · 19/06/2016 13:05

(Quite apart from the excellent drama, all the women wear really lovely, stylish t-shirts / vest tops. Simple but classy. Any idea where I can get similar in the UK? Or even any idea which French brand they are for ordering online?)

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 19/06/2016 13:08

I think they looked good because they were thin and small boobed

Allofaflumble · 19/06/2016 13:33

I think it was quite clever how they had the curly haired friend confessing about being pregnant. The way it was done made you think she might be about to say it was Julien's baby, especially her desperate tearful look as they hugged!

Anyone think Chris had a resemblance to Katie Hopkins? Obviously a whole lot more attractive. Wink

stonecircle · 19/06/2016 13:41

Ahh - so the photo was of the remaining earring, not one that was found with Leah's body? Makes sense now! Thanks cherry!

secondhoneymoon · 19/06/2016 13:43

Yes I noticed the Katie Hopkins resemblance.
Just finished it after a marathon catch up session, thought it was fantastic. Shame last episode was spoilt for me by spoilers a few posts up. Don't read if you don't want to know what happens

secondhoneymoon · 19/06/2016 13:44

(Oh and the policewoman reminded me of Kylie from Coronation St, and I think the T-shirts were particularly stylish tho of course the svelte figures helped)

CremeEggThief · 19/06/2016 13:53

I don't think you can complain about spoilers if you're watching a programme after it has aired. Several of us watched it "live"and wanted to share our thoughts and opinions at the time we were watching. Personally, I wouldn't click on a thread about a programme, if I was watching after it had aired and I wanted to avoid spoilers.

APlaceOnTheCouch · 19/06/2016 14:07

Yy I just avoided MN till I had the chance to watch the last 2 episodes because I thought people would be posting as they watched it live. (As I would have done if I hadn't been busy)

What are we going to watch next?! I'm going to miss a weekly visit to France 😕

Oh, forgot to say - did anyone else think Lea was a bit hypocritical screaming at her bf and Chris when she (Lea) was pregnant with someone else's baby?

CremeEggThief · 19/06/2016 14:17

Yes, I thought that, APlaceOnTheCouch, but I think it just shows how self-centred Lea was, and how she though the world revolved around her. She really wasn't a nice person at all, although obviously she didn't deserve to dieSad.

APlaceOnTheCouch · 19/06/2016 14:22

Yy CremeEgg I found myself disliking her and then thinking, well, regardless, she still didn't deserve to be hit with a brick!

It was quite worrying to see how little the parents knew about their teenagers' lives. It made me relieved that DS is only 7. Hopefully by the time he's a teen there will be some electronic tagging device that means he won't be able to have a secret life joking;not joking Grin

secondhoneymoon · 19/06/2016 14:22

Yes I agree re spoilers, I wasn't complaining just warning others. My own fault.

MangoMoon · 19/06/2016 14:36

I actually cared about the characters which made a change to some recent things I've watched (Marcella...!).

If only Chris or her dad had just phoned the emergency services in the first place - although that would have made for a boring series Grin

APlaceOnTheCouch · 19/06/2016 14:51

There were so many other revelations - the dad's affair; the mum's abortion; Lea's affairs with everyone else; the uncle's affair; Lea being pregnant; the brother stealing the mum's file and vandalising the railway, etc, that it might have still held together as a series even without the murder Grin

APlaceOnTheCouch · 19/06/2016 14:52

but we wouldn't have spent time with the police and that would have been disappointing
