Just this minute turned it on. Even after a few seconds watching it feels awkward, and Evans commentating on Ramsay's lap is just cringe worthy.

I've obviously not seen the first half but if they're using the same format as before it's not going to work. He's not Clarkson.

And who is the kid with the 911 sitting next to Ramsay?

I watched 10 min then went off to do something more interesting, but was like that with the old top gear as well. I don't see the point in a car that corners really well at 170mph.
My favourite episode of the old Top Gear was when they reviewed the new Fiesta. I really just want a TV version of What Car for people who value the environment. I liked them having a woman on it, even if they couldn't find a British woman who could drive fast enough and she had to lose to Chris....

Chemistry between presenters is the main thing, that's why people like Clarkson/Hammond/May - they're friends having a good time, so it feels like you're part of it.

Only thing that is an improvement so far is that Evans has more legible handwriting than Clarkson. Did anyone else notice all the Power Lap times have been rewritten (presumably by Chris Evans)? No Clarkson scrawl there any more...

Wouldn't it be funny if the Beeb ended up with record viewing figures, just because so many people are watching it to see how shite it will be?

Matt Leblanc is quite good at driving whilst talking the facts though, better than Chris would be I think.

I have to say my opinion of Matt is going up after that report

That car looks like a remote control buggy - like the one out of Toy Story!

Matt can drive and talk at the same time.

Chris has no understanding of cars apart from spending money on them.

Matt's much more charismatic behind the wheel.

Matt was cringe worthy introducing this item but he's doing very well presenting it!

Just seen the previous post re Greg Davies and Jo Brand presenting, that I would watch. mark Heap could keep popping up as well. If they added Christopher Eccleston it would be brilliant. The cars are an irrelevance.

I'm liking Matt and Sabine. Matt away from Chris works.

I also,thought that Clarkson et al were living of their past reputations, And the programmes had beco,e silly and pointless(used to,go and have my Sunday bath during Top Gear).

It must be difficult,for,the BbC to keep,the essential elements of TG whilst making it fresh.

Quite enjoying Matt's commentary on this orange car. Sabime was awesome. Quite enjoyed that conflict also.

Ds's seem to be enjoyimg it also.

Slow to get going but I like Matt a lot.... so I'm perhaps I'm the only person in the uk preferring this to normal top gear.

I agree, Trixie, Matt is pretty good by himself.
