In honour of the sewing bee, I am making a Victorian dress from a bed sheet. By Wednesday.

Patterns are for wimps. It's just Victorian day st DDs school so accuracy isn't important. I am winging it.

Hate Tracey's fabric choice. That red is much too dark for the other fabric.

I winged a Victorian costume out of an old sheet. Just made an apron with a skirt gathered into a waistband which tied at the back and diagonal straps and a mop cap - sort of like this but I was much more generous as there is a lot of fabric in an old sheet!

Oddly Dd is wearing it tonight two years on as she has been Florence nightingale tonight.

I wonder who will go, very close on tonight's performance so far. I like Charlotte's yoga garb the best.

They are brave to use to the cover stitch machine after doing terribly with it yesterday.

I've done an elasticated gathered skirt, I'll make a top and hide the join with a big sash. I have a long sleeved "under dress" from medieval day.
