Morning all

You're a trooper pix. McDonalds breakfast all the way! not that I've had two this week or anything

Sunny here. Got a pile of ironing to do but I'm going to keep putting it off until to tomorrow. Haven't got the energy this morning.

When do you go away mads?

KellyHb · 06/05/2016 10:26

I'll be spending my morning staring at this pic of Scottish magnificence GrinShock...never have I loved a neckerchief so much

You need to get yourself a new SH ironing board cover Kelly

Ive had a pint of Coke and coffee. I may flip out.

KellyHb · 06/05/2016 12:33

Now there's an idea pix. I wouldn't mind getting hot and steamy on his face and body eek, I'll show myself out Blush

cjwoofwoof · 06/05/2016 13:50

We seem to have a neckerchief theme going on this week - GoT Dutch man the other day now Jamie Thingy can't be bothered to google either name today

Brings back memories of one of my teenage crushes on David Essex who was also partial to a red spotty neckerchief on occasions in his "I'm a gypsy Romany ne'er do well kinda guy" phase, complete with long curly perm and hoop earring. Not a look he should probably re-embrace today Confused

pixieg1rl · 06/05/2016 14:38

Oh yes, woof. Luckily Sam Heughan looks like he's staying this side of Lovejoy/Eddie Grundy territory.

Of course yours and Orph's lost weekend with the Wurzels is the stuff of legend...

cjwoofwoof · 06/05/2016 15:15

Aah yes pix those weekends bouncing up and down on their large combine harvester were happy days indeed, and I still haven't lost the skill of hand-held sheep shearing I learned back then, which comes in jolly handy for self-exfoliation now the summer's coming. My pelt is then used to either knit orphs Christmas mittens or stuff a few cushions on the garden swing Grin

Nipping on here before I start dishes to say that I'm a proud wifey tonight. SmileSmile We got a rather formal looking letter in the post today to say that DH passed his middle exam for big Health & Safety qualifications he needs (which we knew about last month) but he got the best mark out of apparently a few thousand over two years of people doing this same exam and he's been invited as one of the VIP Best Candidates for a cap and gown ceremony at Warwick University in June!!!! Absolutely over the moon as its been so hard for him to revise in our crazy household so am sooo proud. DH is over the moon too!!!!

Apparently his success in it is being published in some financial newspaper somewhere too. Can't believe it all! Squeee Star

pixieg1rl · 06/05/2016 18:47

That's brilliant news Kelly, well done him. Was this the exam he was convinced he had failed?

KellyHb · 06/05/2016 18:52

Aw thanks pix I think he's pretty much thought that about every one he did. The really weird/comical thing is he failed the first and third one and he has to resit them in July Grin but this second one seems to have gone well! I'm in shock and will HAVE to go on a crash diet if there's any danger of me getting a photo taken. I've got more rolls than Greggs at the moment!

moojangles · 06/05/2016 19:01

kelly, that's fantastic news, congrats mrk!

KellyHb · 06/05/2016 19:08

Thanks mooj. Just opening some prosecco now to celebrate. So in roughly an hour I'll be pretty drunk and ready for bed Grin

pixieg1rl · 06/05/2016 19:11

Ooh, don't forget to come on here and do some drunken posting Kelly.

I'm feeling light headed after one beer. Bloody shattered now.

KellyHb · 06/05/2016 19:17

I bet you're tired pix.

I don't think I could top my drunken tweeting to TG describing kissing scenes I wanted to see if Molly was in S2 a bit. Grin

pixieg1rl · 06/05/2016 19:20

I'm setting a Twitter alert up for you, just in case Grin

KellyHb · 06/05/2016 19:30

Good idea SmileGrin

Nickel45 · 06/05/2016 20:07

Brilliant news kel congrats MrKel 😀

KellyHb · 06/05/2016 20:18

Thanks nickel. Smile

MaddieMoo82 · 06/05/2016 20:26

kelly that's excellent news so pleased for mrK and you!! Enjoy the celebrating. We are holiday now. Really awful journey but DS finally asleep so relaxing Smile

MaddieMoo82 · 06/05/2016 20:33

Well done at still being awake pix!!!

KellyHb · 06/05/2016 20:34

Thanks mads. Ah sorry about the journey. Are you staying in a cottage or a hotel did you say? At least you're there and can hopefully do some relaxing.

Heligirl79 · 06/05/2016 22:13

Hi all.

Wow Pix you must be shattered!

Lovely day again, so decided to pressure wash the patios, was much harder than I thought, but they are looking lovely and clean now. Just need to sort out some plants for the new flower beds and my garden will be complete!

Weekend of washing and ironing ahead of me, getting all the school uniform ready for Monday.

Richtea19 · 06/05/2016 23:55

kelly fantastic news about Mr K, well done sir!!!! You must be very proud.

pix are you hanging, or has the Gin\prosecco kept you going.?

I vowed not to drink too much tonight, we've been to a casino night at our friends daughters school.... Famous last wOrds.. Now raiding the fridge and bread bin for snax to soak up the wine consumed!!

KellyHb · 07/05/2016 09:38

Morning all.

Its going to rain here today by the looks. Typical, its always either windy or rainy when I come out the hairdressers.

Thanks rich. Yes I am. Fab things like that don't really happen to us. Wow casino night sounds fun. I wanted to go to the big one in town a few years ago but we never got.

I failed in my prosecco drinking last night. I had one glass and then fell asleep on the sofa for a few hours!! Poor show.

Rhubarb01 · 07/05/2016 10:54

Oh Kelly put some bloody effort in!

Seriously, congratulations to Mr Kelly that's brilliant. You can be assured that you are in safe hands at all times!

It's a standing joke in my house that whenever I wash my hair it rains! DH's grandmother used to say that when a cat was washing itself, if it washed behind it's ear it would rain within three hours.
