Didn't cut the hedge. It was too hot and humid. Been pottering around instead. Have to say my roses are doing really well this year.

pixie great update from you. Did you write this on holiday?

A couple of rose photos.

Sadly not ilove, I've been sitting on that one for a while. I wrote the last 2 back to back and then didn't write anything for ages. Jen and whajeb read them a few weeks ago and suggested I put them up to get the ball rolling again. I'm about halfway through the next chapter now. Not really had any time to write until today. MrP has taken DS to see grandma so I've had a bit of time today.

Lovely roses. My Twitter feed is full of pictures of the RHS rose show this weekend. Saw some lovely tiny musk roses on the David Austin stand at Chelsea. I can't get on with roses, they're either full of greenfly or covered in blackspot when they're in my garden.

Operation ball dress complete! Headed off to John Lewis and had a bit of a break down as they had no dresses!!! Then walked into Phase Eight and bought the first and only dress I tried on, also got shoes and bag!!!!!! Just need the dress taken up and to practise walking in the shoes.
Thanks so much for all the help, really pointed me in the right direction and stopped the panic.

Evening, just popping in to say hello after a few days absence. Glad the dress shopping worked out mooj. I remember buying my wedding dress like that - first shop and first dress - but still happy with the choice many years later.

I will be on Musketeers watch at 8.30 pm (must remember it's earlier this week). I'm guessing that given the time slot for future episodes it's not going to get any racier . Talking of which I only caught the end scene of Versailles in the week. I won't say anything about it apart from I sort of know how the poor Queen must have felt giving birth to an audience - I think I counted twelve in the room, including some students, when I had my twins! Still you don't really care at the time, thank goodness.

Thanks for the comments on the story mads and ilove. I wish I could turn out the chapters a bit quicker like Greenstuff but it's getting harder to find the time. Don't know why I thought getting a job would be a good idea (getting out of the house, social interaction, money!) OK, I remember now.

Musketeers is not on rhu. Casualty is earlier then a programme about Muhammad Ali. I appreciate why they would want to put that on, but why casualty over musketeers or put it on 2?

Yes aspara I just saw that on the BBC website when double checking the time. There's some choice language over on the Musketeers thread about it. Like you, I do understand they want to put a programme on about Muhammed Ali and many people would want to watch that but don't know why they couldn't put Musketeers on BBC2 after the film on there instead of putting on two repeats! Guess that's my entire TV viewing for the evening at an end. Better go and wash my hair. Or maybe I'll just watch episode one on catch up again!

You're made of strong stuff mooj. I had a couple of glasses of wine and sat up too late knitting and felt like shit this morning.

Just finished cutting the front hedge. May as well do the back one when I am so grubby! My neighbour came over and said "What are you doing?" and hadn't even noticed hedge clippings everywhere. She has been 'relaxing' in her apology for a garden. I'm not bitchy, just kn.......d. She's the one who likes to tell me how to grow plants and gives crap return-from-holiday presents!

Well done for getting the dress mooj and for surviving the warm up event. pix sympathy over your head from wine, I did the same Friday eve and spent all day yesterday feeling crap. I was on driving duty in the eve which worked out well as I didn't want wine!!

Good job with the hedges ilove I spent all yesterday gardening as the weather wasn't that good (too hot today). So today I can sit and enjoy. I'm on "Spring watch" as we have a nesting box of blue tit chicks. Mum and dad are frantically feeding whilst I'm watching my two cats and trying to stop them climbing up to the box! Not the best photo but you can just make out a shape!!

Just chipping in to say that according to the Daily Mail website (so must be true ) "Michelle began filming for the series earlier this year, taking over the lead role from Lacey Turner, who will reprise her character of Molly Dawes in a minor capacity due to her hectic filming schedule with EastEnders."

I have a nesting box rich and the cats sit on top of a pergola expecting the birds to fly straight into their mouths!

Gosh it's been hot today. 26 C at one stage. It's only about 5 weeks ago that we had snow!

We're doing another charity plant sale tomorrow but on a much smaller scale than the last one. It's mainly to get rid of the bits which weren't ready to sell in May.
