Might gonna need my extra reinforced gusset in preparation for D'Artagnan on Saturday night, pix

cjwoofwoof · 23/05/2016 23:03

Ooh my word there's a corker of a new M rated ff by Laceybird I thoroughly recommend if anyone's interested. She must've sneaked it in over the weekend

Ilovelblue · 24/05/2016 14:40

ice not sure how many local stately homes you looked at regarding possible filming from the shots last week, but I did wonder about Adlington Hall near Macclesfield?

Ilovelblue · 24/05/2016 14:40

Oh that was a weird link!

pixieg1rl · 24/05/2016 16:51

Ooh, I'm at the car wash with 4 strapping young men squirting their hoses at me and giving me a vigorous rub down with a chamois, and it's making me think of you woof and how you led those venture scouts astray when they offered to give you a good scrubbing at the charity car wash.

cjwoofwoof · 24/05/2016 19:02

No, no, no pix you're getting me mixed up with orph when she wanted to closely inspect the horn pipes were ship-shape on the platoon of young navy cadets at the launch of The Titanic. The only tossing that day was when orph was thrown into the Solent by an irate vice admiral whilst the violins played on Grin

I do recall my last full rub down and foam wash was after a particularly vigorous scything session with AT during a filming break in Charlestown last summer Grin

Nickel45 · 24/05/2016 19:06

Where is orph, I've missed this!!!

moojangles · 24/05/2016 19:20

In a store cupboard full of gym mats and a young PE teacher

pixieg1rl · 24/05/2016 20:24

Maybe with half term coming up orph will give the poor PE teacher a bit of respite and come back to us

Ilovelblue · 25/05/2016 08:03

Morning all. The decorator's last day today. Fed up of workmen, however friendly and reasonably tidy they are. Flooring man on Friday then that's it.

How's the bathroom going Richtea?

Richtea19 · 25/05/2016 16:34

llove, all ok so far with the bathroom. Messy and dusty but worth it I hope! Bad planning with the bank holiday weekend though!

icemistOBE · 25/05/2016 18:29

Had an unexpected day off as 2 yo fell on our way to nursery biting his lip inside and splitting it on outside. Grazed his chin and under his nose too. Had a quick trip to a&e to have it checked out. So ended up back home bout 10am

Getting ready for Chelsea tomorrow - I haven't watched any coverage on the tv so apart from a few photos on twitter it will all be new to me. Bracing myself for crowds (never a favourite) and hoping for plenty of Pimms drinking opportunities.

Glad to hear the end is nearly in sight for you ilove.

Sorry to hear about youngest ice, glad it wasn't anything too serious

MaddieMoo82 · 25/05/2016 22:18

Are you spending all day there tomorrow pixie? Hope the weather is lovely for you.

ice glad your littlest is ok.

rhu really enjoying your story still. Love that you got the Minack Theatre in, it's one of my favourite places and we try and go at least once a year, although didn't manage last year.

Work and home seems manic at the mo. Minimads sleep has regressed and everyday seems to be fueled by copious amounts of caffeine! Hmm

MaddieMoo82 · 25/05/2016 22:21

Also has anyone since anything of the secret life of human pups on channel 4??! Had to turn it off... There is some odd things going on in the world Shock

Ilovelblue · 25/05/2016 23:47

Very late tonight. Enjoy Chelsea pixie. Often fancied going but an overnight stay required really from up here and it makes it expensive so we do Tatton in July instead. I've manned an RHS stall a few times in the past at Tatton too. I'd love your views on the show afterwards?

We've had another redundancy scare over the past couple of weeks but found out yesterday I'm ok - till the next time anyway.Confused

Pouring down here just now. We've had very little rain for the past few weeks but I guess we had enough over the winter to last us all year.

Ditto to Maddie's comments on *Rhubarb's update.

Berlin585 · 26/05/2016 07:23

Oh pix enjoy Chelsea. I've been watching it on TV so I hope you enjoy. We've been a few times but not for many yrs and keep saying we must go again. I'm sure you'll have fun.

I haven't even started your FF rhu though it sounds like it's a good one. I like storing them up and having a binge!

I hope mrice has continued to enjoy his new job ice.

I'd love to join in the watchalong and story theory later in the yr. DM are v frustrating....Can't believe they keep linking BA and MK from that 1 photo ages ago....but they mention it in every article about MK. Guess it comes with the celebrity life!

Richtea19 · 26/05/2016 07:36

pix I hope you have a fab day today, the weather looks good too. Looking forward to your update from the day.

Our bathroom is chaos and now the shower room (shoe box) that we are all using has a leak on the sink, it's rebelling as we have never used it so much!

Richtea19 · 26/05/2016 07:37

ice hope little one is ok, poor thing. Cuts to lips are so painful. I remember when one of mine was tipping back on a school chair and slipped. Teeth through lip! Ouch .

Ilovelblue · 26/05/2016 08:18

Enjoy pixie!

Richtea at least you have the luxury of a 'spare' shower. I had to go across to my neighbour! I never expected so much dust after the initial ripping out of the old stuff. Had another clean up last night.

The 100 year old chest has gone for restoration. It looks very bare in that room now! And the contents of the drawers strewn in my spare bedroom.... I don't think that room will ever be free of junk!

Nickel45 · 26/05/2016 10:26

berlin you are going to LOVE rhu's ff - it is the internet equivalent of a page-turner! Absolutely brilliant - we are away next week, and I really hope we have wifi, so I can keep up with it.

Have a lovely day today pix, sun's shining down here (in between the clouds) that on'e for you woof!!!.

cjwoofwoof · 26/05/2016 16:14

Aah yes thank you nick I was not worried at all hoping pix wouldn't catch a shower whilst wading through the six-deep throng per exhibit.

It's always wet here but not in the meteorological sense if AT is scything topless in my back garden... Grin

Have a great h-t break nick - whatever the weather Wink

Rhubarb01 · 26/05/2016 20:27

Evening everyone. It's been a quiet few days on here. So much going on and the promise of some summer sunshine maybe? I reckon we'll start getting excited in September anticipating OG in the Autumn schedules. I have to confess that Autumn is may favourite season of the year - strange I know - but I'm not great with heat, not that it makes much difference in this country and I get hayfever so late spring/summer isn't my best time.

Thanks for the lovely comments on the story everyone. mads although I've been to Porthcurno we didn't manage to get up to the Theatre although I could see it sort of perched up there on the cliff. We had hoped to take a look but there was a daytime production on and it was parking chaos. I'm not making it up about the sea though, the colour is amazing next to the white sand! I love Cornwall and I've got a soft spot for Rosamund Pilcher's Cornwall set book 'Coming Home'. I read it on my honeymoon. Ahh! Actually, just love Cornwall anyway - now I'm thinking of clotted cream on a jammy scone!!

MaddieMoo82 · 26/05/2016 20:52

Yes it is beautiful there rhu and you are right about the colour the sea. My friend took some pictures from there a while back and it looked amazing. We are hoping to go back later in the year after the summer holidays when everything's calmed down a bit.
Hope you have a lovely holidays nickel.
Glad everything's ok with your job ilove
