Methinks AT has been shackled to my pouffe indoors too long and unable to visit barbers for a few weeks, although I was able to trim other areas on a very regular basis with a mini handheld scythe so he didn't dare move

Evening everyone.

Had a lovely day at the spa in the Lakes. I was a bit disgruntled about being indoors when we're enjoying such great weather but there were two terraces to take in the views over Windermere so I was happy to give up some jacuzzi/steam room time in favour of watching the boats ploughing up and down the lake. We had an afternoon tea as part of the package as well and we had that on the other terrace. Treatments were good too.

My colleague from work came to pick some of the plants up soon after I got home and if he was put out about collecting them, he hid it quite well so I can take the rest of them in tomorrow and Tuesday to set up on Tuesday evening as we finish work.

Maddie looks as if you're having a good time - and the weather is just perfect today.

Kelly my godmother has always been greedy. Apparently, she handed over a big yellow stuffed chicken at my christening and told my Mum and Dad she would have it back when I'd done with it! No idea what she intended doing with it however, My Mum always told the story how, at my christening, she cleared the table of all my Mum's scones as well. We found all manner of things she'd begged and borrowed from people when we cleared the house out when she died.

Another lovely day here, was a bit cloudy first thing, but much better now.

DH has had to go up to Aberdeen this week for work, although he text me to say that he is still waiting to leave as there are technical issues with plane and they are bringing in another, he should have left at 7am! He did let me know that his 6 week course in France has been cancelled though, so that's good

I'm always envious of people who get to go away or even leave the house for work sometimes. I think it's the whole prospect of adult conversation and realising there's a world out there .

Kelly I've been away with work often enough to know I wouldn't want to do it too regularly. Going away Sunday night and back Friday (or Monday morning and back Thursday night if you're lucky) ceases to be fun after a very short space of time. Not too bad if there are several of you but the last few times I've been away, I've been on my own and as a woman, I feel very conspicuous eating on my own. Room service is pretty poor in many hotels as well if you decide to eat in your room.

It's really hot here today - it was 25 C at lunchtime but also very windy. Very easy to get burned I think. Not a problem if you're in work though!

Can I just try and sat very calmly, I've just met Sam Heughan!!! And I'm not joking!!!

Quick!!!!

Right sorry first chance to tell you.

So I went on Twitter earlier and it said he was visiting a place I used to work at a couple of miles away. Barbour country clothing. Must be for some work he'll be doing for them. Anyway I bundled the kids in the car and thought what the hell, he might still be there. I'll take a chance. So drives down there and there's some staff standing outside smoking and asked about Sam and they said 'never heard of him' and I thought I don't believe you, he was in the office today so I'm going to wait in the car outside. So parks up across the road from the entrance. Waits about 20 minutes and I thought I'll give it a minute. All if a sudden I look over and see Sam walking our with a gorgeous leather jacket on, sunglasses, lovely curly hair looking so amazing. I opens the door and shouts Sam (as politely as I could). He was by himself and he had a huge smile on his face. He smelled absolutely divine I can't explain. He was literally standing so close to me talking. His eyes are just beautiful. We chatted a bit about OL. I said I'd just watched episode 5 the day before. I pointed my kids out to him and he said a cherry hello to them and they stared blankly back. We took a pic but the sun was in our eyes and he said do I want to take more but they were all the same really. He looked fab and gorgeous and so on. I got an autograph. He's got lovely hands. He pointed out his car and said he'd got lost finding Barbour and I briefly mentioned to him about the roads he'd been on -how embarrassing and boring for him. His height is dreamy too. Lovely and tall. He's got an Audi Q5. I melted on the spot thinking of my QS part of my FF in the Audi. Anyway we said goodbyes, he went to give me a hug first so I hugged him, then I kissed him briefly on the side of his face. Eek! Ah well you only live once. Literally I drove behind him as he was passing near where I lived. It was so surreal watching him drive. I was thinking if he's lost, he couldve popped in mine for a cuppa and something else in my dreams

I literally can't believe today. It just shows you never know who you're gonna meet that day. I'm shaking I'm so happy.

It's our plant sale at work tomorrow so my car looks like a mobile nursery today as we set everything up tonight as we finish for the day. The fundraising manager from the hospice is also going to pop in. I must get her to buy some plants!
