DH just tuned into this with the throwaway statement 'I bet there's a live thread going, you know.'

So we're in Grin

I already want the laughing woman with red lippy to be a bit uncomfortable during labour. Not in agony, just uncomfortable. 'I'd kill myself' indeed!!

seasidesally · 13/04/2016 21:07

i so fancy the cakes and sandwiches

a wise man your DH

"Not very hospital stocks Dom Perignon". Ha ha ha!

scotsgirl64 · 13/04/2016 21:08

more interested in the food options than the midwives!

CaveMum · 13/04/2016 21:08

Ok, I'm judging the "baby is only brought back for feeding time" attitude.

raisedbyguineapigs · 13/04/2016 21:09

This is another world! I suppose the nanny takes over when they get home so it doesn't matter if they get taken away just after birth Confused

seasidesally · 13/04/2016 21:09

ohhhhhhhhhhh i love newborns

DH just fell off sofa at £1200 a night!

LaContessaDiPlump · 13/04/2016 21:10

This new mum seems quite enamoured of her baby, which is nice. The program is trying to gently spin the new mums as heartless creatures I think, so that balance is good.

Oldraver · 13/04/2016 21:13

Where are your manners Dr Penny, would it of hurt to say hello to the receptionist ?

CaveMum · 13/04/2016 21:13

Awww, they do seem loved up. Julian can't stop calling Anna "amazing".

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 13/04/2016 21:15

I've never understood how consultants can guarantee to be available during the birth. What about prem birth with mum X when they're supposed to be with mum Y?

raisedbyguineapigs · 13/04/2016 21:16

Yes 40+ year old man enamoured with a woman half his age who poses naked for pictures on the wall! Who'd have thought it?

LaContessaDiPlump · 13/04/2016 21:16

WOMEN ARE ALLOWED A CHOICE ON THE NHS TOO

Goddammit!!

I'm started to get irritated by the none-too-subtle criticism of the NHS.

scotsgirl64 · 13/04/2016 21:17

I see the 'bare above the elbows' infection dress code doesn't apply to the consultants in this hospital

seasidesally · 13/04/2016 21:17

how sad she is on her own discussing the birth

Sparklingbrook · 13/04/2016 21:17

20 minutes in and it's all a bit Hmm

RainbowJack · 13/04/2016 21:17

I can't put my finger on it but I'm not liking this Hmm

coffeeisnectar · 13/04/2016 21:18

I'm gritting my teeth already.

Julian banging on about how amazing Anna looks and I'm thinking 'well yes, because she's just had a full nights fucking sleep unlike those of us who actually have our baby with us through the night as well as listening to everyone elses baby crying'.

And she said 'Motherhood comes first for me, I don't want to be the type of mum who is always worrying about how she looks' - said right after having her baby delivered back to her after a night being looked after by a nurse and she'd already applied her make up.

Fucks sake!

scotsgirl64 · 13/04/2016 21:18

sorry 'bare below the elbows"...ie short sleeves and no jewellery/wristwatches

Sparklingbrook · 13/04/2016 21:18

Me neither Rainbow. There's something a bit piss takey about it.

Oldraver · 13/04/2016 21:18

I'm surprised at the babycots...I thought they would be gold plated

LaContessaDiPlump · 13/04/2016 21:19

'She likes to keep her clothes on - that's s good thing for a girl.'

The fuck?!

HookedOnHooking · 13/04/2016 21:19

Well. They won't have BFI accreditation will they.

raisedbyguineapigs · 13/04/2016 21:19

Jesus Christ! Did that nurse joke about a 2 day old baby being bulimic before saying 'girls love to be tiny???
