Who orders soup and curry anyway?

HarlettOScara · 13/04/2016 21:54

Yes, Huy's husband runs a company in China and lives there. He 'jetted in' for the birth.

crayfish · 13/04/2016 21:55

I don't like seeing all those babies away from their mums Sad

HarlettOScara · 13/04/2016 21:55

The nanny cooks and cleans? I thought they were just for childcare?

coffeeisnectar · 13/04/2016 21:55

So glad that she got the birth she wanted. And she kept her baby with her. I'm liking her.

sunnydayinmay · 13/04/2016 21:56

I like Pat, who looks after the babies.

soundsystem · 13/04/2016 21:56

Yeah the maternity nurse stealing smiles Grin

Also laughing when they said "silver service dining", imagining a poor minion two-spooning peas onto plates while women labour (I think they meant fine dining)

raisedbyguineapigs · 13/04/2016 21:57

eek! That Chinese woman.

crayfish · 13/04/2016 21:57

Is she also the first breastfeeder?

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 13/04/2016 21:57

Oh that was sad, poor new mum worried about her husband finding someone else. So insecure Sad

2016ismyyear · 13/04/2016 21:57

You can imagine the Chinese Mum having a nanny thread on here!

raisedbyguineapigs · 13/04/2016 21:58

Yes she seems much more confident and happier. Maybe because it's her second though.

RainbowJack · 13/04/2016 21:58

Those poor men stuck with their fat wives with stretch marks

crayfish · 13/04/2016 21:58

Ooh she sacked the nanny! Bet she did an AIBU about it.

coffeeisnectar · 13/04/2016 21:58

Poor baby Lucas.

Sparklingbrook · 13/04/2016 21:59

Oh god NEXT TIME?? There's more?

Oldraver · 13/04/2016 21:59

Huys baby (Lucas ?) is gorgeous

Friolero · 13/04/2016 21:59

Is Pat on her own looking after all the babies? You'd think when they're charging that much, you'd get more than one Pat.

HarlettOScara · 13/04/2016 21:59

'Baby Lucas is now on his second Nanny'...

...because the first one got pissed off with being treated like a skivvy.

crayfish · 13/04/2016 21:59

Especially that gorgeous curry eating bloke...

2016ismyyear · 13/04/2016 21:59

If that's what kind of relationship and birth money give you im thankful we ate skint!

Trottersindependenttraders · 13/04/2016 21:59

7 years down the line and I still struggle with the fact that DD spent her first few nights away from me and in special baby care. At the Portland, it's expected they will send them to the nursery .

I get needing some sleep, the midwives took DS to let me sleep for a bit. Do you think the programme is edited to make them all look rather cold and unfeeling?

CakeNinja · 13/04/2016 21:59

Or the nanny walked out?

Only caught the last 20 minutes, found the whole thing incredibly depressing.

crayfish · 13/04/2016 22:01

We were visiting my new niece last night in an NHS hospital and there was a ward with three new mums, all their babies and assorted relatives. It was hot and noisy but cosy and so joyful. I think that is what's missing at the Portland.

raisedbyguineapigs · 13/04/2016 22:02

Baby Lucas is beautiful. I thought his mum was a vacuous idiot at first, but she just seems very insecure and lonely and quite detatched now. Someone probably needs to keep an eye on her.
