Surely even the dead person will be needed for the first episode though? So will be in shooting that. I mean it's starting again for the same scene I think so they're all there then. Plus if it's one from the lot who'd been captured earlier than the main group they might look back at that so will need to shoot those scenes. This is all shot on location isn't it? How will people find out?

not necessarily- they could start the episode with the ending of season 6 with the screams/reactions of others added in. Then they could zoom out to mutilated (from the noises there wouldn't be much of a head left) body and take it from there. All they'd need would be a mannequin with the right clothes and spot in the lineup.

Even if they do bring the actor back (and they might have shot his/her death in full already) it would be for one scene. It would be shot at night in the woods.

As soon as that's done dead character is not needed anymore.

DP and I were reminiscing earlier about how much we liked the older male characters. Herschel, Eastman and Dale from the first two seasons were all well written and cast with great actors.

The cast are saying they don't yet know ( except Norman Reedus but then he does so much social media and gives so many interviews he probably doesn't remember what he says half the time - less is more, Norman, less is more).

I can just imagine the writers room right now with everyone coming up with possible solutions, all the while trying to please Kirkman, Gimple, the money men, the games company, the advertising buyers, comic.con etc.

I think you're on the money dixie. Dwight also said something about the crossbow having a strong recoil, but crossbows don't have any recoil. There's definitely more to him than meets the eye. I wouldn't be surprised if Negan has got Dwight's wife tied up somewhere and using that to control him.
