Corrie thread - How many more implausible plots until the new person takes over? NO SPOILERS PLEASE

Have started a new thread as the old one was nearly full and people wanted a "No spoilers" message in the title.

Are we placing too much hope in the new producer? How the hell are they going to get out of the plot holes?

I read the other day that the Les Battersby actor was seen at the studios. I am hoping that was a bad-taste April Fool's joke.

I too was concerned as to Liam's whereabouts. Yet another episode where I was confused about the time of day when everything was happening. Also Dev, Erica and Mary were all at or near the gym, so who was looking after the shop? Finally, what was the point of the off/on christening?

Yeah, no way would gary's dealer come to meet him and hang around waiting when he wasnt there.

Makes me mad at soaps christening a the whole point is to welcome the child into the church congagation. If you are having it on a Monday when there are no other church members there- and you never go to church yourself. There's no point! not begrudging sitting through loads of Christina services for people never seen at xhurch before and never seen again oh no

In order to make it more interesting I've stopped buying the tv times so not getting the week before spoilers. That has to make it more interesting right?

I do the opposite Akire . I glance through the spoilers, and if I see something like I had seen for last night - Maria in a ridiculous costume - I don't bother watching then.

Aargh! The actress who plays Maria must have been cringing at that lion/begging scene. Hopefully her and Luke will marry and leave Corrie for good. And yes, where was Liam while they were babysitting?

The drippy dealing scene where neither Gary nor the dealer looked remotely bothered about the police turning up. Wouldn't one of them at least have said 'oh shit' ?

I can't believe how nasty the police were either, even if they still pressed charges I think they would have had some sympathy, especially as it was a small amount of drugs, I'm sure Weatherfield has a far greater drug problem! The actual dealer, Dane, had no other drugs on him either, surely he would if he was doing his drug delivery service or more likely be known to police as a known drug dealer.

Anna was properly irritating me too with her shouting and perfect Mum routine. Surely she would also have some sympathy to Izzy's situation. Why is everything always black and white, can characters not feel conflicted?

The whole Maria marriage storyline just feels desperate, like they had no idea what to do with Maria so played storyline Bingo again and came up with that.

I do actually like the fact that they have factored in memories of Baby Billy's death into the storyline though, of course having a new baby would bring back all sorts of feelings for Sarah so I like that they have made this an issue for her and Todd.

The scene last night with Maria in the costume begging Luke in the street was ridiculous and unfunny. The actress who plays Maria has always been bad at doing drunk scenes.

I think Owen needs to come back and put anna in her place. He wouldnt tolerate her treating izzy like that. Maybe he'll take the whole lot of them away with any luck!

It's strange that Izzie never mentions Owen. Even though the actor is now making bread in Line of Duty, Owen would surely be interested in how his daughter and grandson were managing.

Why were ty and fiz dressed up when presume they were only going to the pub? The same pub they go in all time in jeans and overalls.

UGHHHHHH Izzy when she dumped her little packet of weed on the counter at the police station and said 'it's me you should be arresting' with a defiant weird gurn expression thing. She's just not credible as an actress. She makes me cringe and think back to my GCSE Drama days

Ugh! madhatter that stupid gurn thing izzy did at the police station really annoyed me. The actress couldn't actually ACT to save her life!!

Why were Ken and Derek Griffiths at the christening? Was the Bistro closed for ordinary customers?

Please, please can they write out Ken. He hung around at that Christening with a right face on him, being vile to Freddie, - but totally wooden, ruining every scene he was in. Honestly, I could act better than him.

And, it wasn't too long ago Fizz and Tyrone couldn't be in the same room as Maria, after all that stuff she did trying to split them up - that seems to be all forgotten now

Eddie, Ken seems to be Audrey's 'plus one' for everything now. Freddie was invited by Sarah - she told Kylie he seemed nice and she wanted all the nice people there she could get - ie plot line to set up 'tension' between him and Ken.....

Lily was her usual lively self.......invisible and silent.

What exactly did Sally organise? Surely one of them could rang about a cake and got it delivered .... Huge cake by threat for about ten adults they will be eating it for months.

Abd they were organising food earlier in week so even if bistro did nothing much left to do.

Bugs me every time what's her face Kevin ex is hovering in back ground with a duster how can there be 9-5 cleaning going on constantly????? Who the hell has a cleaner in the office when you are working.

Nik at least has vaguely decent story line even though not best actor. Thought Aundreys speech to Gail was quite moving.

Not looking forward to the Ty and Fizz being broke again now luke moved out- shall I suggest a lodger NOT from the street??

Maybe there will be a storyline where Fizz has to be a lady of the night to put food on the table even though they have two incomes and no mortgage

I imagine she'd be splendid in acting that kind of storyline....

Skipped Corrie all of last week; watched the last ten minutes of it tonight. Had that exact thought re Maria waltzing into Fizz and Tyrone's house. After what she put them through... What a load of nonsense.

I had read about Gail's cake, so funny. Not.

I think the Ken / Audrey / Freddie thing is, as has become usual with Corrie, as subtle as a sledgehammer.

Cherylee Houston / Izzy cannot act. That story is just so badly done and she brings nothing to it. I don't know what would happen in reality, but would Gary really have been arrested over that small quantity of drugs? And was there some mention of him being in court tomorrow? Wow, if so, the justice system in Corrie moves extremely fast...

Why was Ken so annoyed at missing out on the tuna vol au vents? I thought he was vegetarian.
