Corrie thread - How many more implausible plots until the new person takes over? NO SPOILERS PLEASE

Have started a new thread as the old one was nearly full and people wanted a "No spoilers" message in the title.

Are we placing too much hope in the new producer? How the hell are they going to get out of the plot holes?

I read the other day that the Les Battersby actor was seen at the studios. I am hoping that was a bad-taste April Fool's joke.

The character died of cancer, the actor is living in Las Vegas.

Sophie and what's her face are destined to be together they are both surgically attached to clipboards

Whole episode based around 2 characters fabricating the truth. What happens when they get found out? Liz can come clean without too much egg on her face but Sally is going to have to leave the area with all those lies!

I've zero interest in this predictable Caz/Kate/Sophie love triangle story. The characters are boring deadwood I've not attachment to.

Completely agree. I went off and tidied up the kitchen to avoid their nonsense. I've less than zero interest in their storyline.

She was having a meal with a councillor and his wife and she was telling them about Tim having two businesses, one in glassware, and she was bigging herself up about her position in Underworld and how she could get the wife discount on her knickers etc. It was cringeworthy. There's no way Tim will go along with it!

Agree the caz was like watching a school play it was like 5-4-3-2-1 and in caz comes to catch them kissing.

Please can we ditch Erica already she brings nothing and apart from being long lost friend of Liz and short fling with Nik she has no past and therefore can swarn off and it not be missed one bit.

Why would you leave your door open in flat, so stupid and unrealistic. So obvious Kas was going to come up.

The storylines they have at the minute they could literally scrap and start all over and no-one would notice. They are so unbelieveably predictable and boring. Thats what they need to do. Throw out all the scripts and just start from scratch today. With new actors.

Just dropping in to say I haven't watched any episodes for about a week. It's so dull and full of characters I don't care about. I don't feel like I'm missing out on it now.

I'm confident Kate Oates can turn the show around. She did it for Emmerdale and she used to work on Corrie so she knows what she's doing.

Emmerdale has it's unrealistic moments as we'll though, so perhaps they'll want her back soon.

The Paddy and Rhona "quickest adoption approval on earth" story line annoyed me. One short conversation that seemed to go "I fancy adopting someone today, how about you?" "Okay, why not?" and then one home visit and they were approved.

The paddy/rhona adoption storyline was bizarre from start to finish. It made no sense.
