Corrie thread - How many more implausible plots until the new person takes over? NO SPOILERS PLEASE

AnneEyhtMeyer · 03/04/2016 20:03

Have started a new thread as the old one was nearly full and people wanted a "No spoilers" message in the title.

Are we placing too much hope in the new producer? How the hell are they going to get out of the plot holes?

I read the other day that the Les Battersby actor was seen at the studios. I am hoping that was a bad-taste April Fool's joke.

OP posts:

She must have forgotten about him, just like she forgot about her two son's.

GetHappy · 06/06/2016 20:09

Oh yes .... !! Maybe when they decide they need a new hunk they'll bring one of them back!!

Feel sorry for Amy .... Don't understand why they want her to back to Tracey!!

RooDaisy · 06/06/2016 20:40

Steve, Tim and Will 😂😂

youngestisapsycho · 06/06/2016 20:45

It's probably been said somewhere in the last 32 pages, but where is Liz??

unimagmative13 · 06/06/2016 20:52

I love Steve

GetHappy · 06/06/2016 20:53

I was laughing at Tim, Steve and Will Grin

She's gone to Spain as Tony's death was too much for her!!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 06/06/2016 21:06

Tim was brilliant tonight . Haven't watched for ages , what happened to Caitlin ?

RooDaisy · 06/06/2016 21:23

Ken
She finished Craig cos she's off to Uni in Scotland

KenDoddsDadsDog · 06/06/2016 21:35
Sad
eddiemairswife · 06/06/2016 22:18

Are they making the beer in the conservatory? If so, why hasn't Sally objected? You can't make it overnight.

Akire · 06/06/2016 22:38

Thought maybe he's spray painting mural in conservatory? Why else would you black out windows?

Suppose Simons sudden interest in food means he can work in cafe or restaurant in few years then.

Can see his mum getting back with Nik. Maybe another business? Proper coffee shop to revival Roy's!

Tonight's was good, enjoyed man fighting and tod was good too.

southeastdweller · 06/06/2016 22:43

I thought Simon Gregson overacted badly in the Will/Michelle fall out scenes tonight.

southeastdweller · 06/06/2016 22:45

And what was Bethany on about when she said libraries don't have library cards nowadays? As a borderline obsessive library user in several boroughs, it's not something I've ever heard about.

Redglitter · 06/06/2016 22:47

Kym Marsh must be one of the worst actors. Her standard expression of wide eyes is getting very boring now

cupidsgame · 06/06/2016 23:20

That "fight" scene in the taxi office was like a comedy, but it wasn't meant to be. I like Steve but he really can't do angry.

HyacinthBouquetNo1 · 07/06/2016 09:43

Amy, where do I start? what a mini Tracey she is, cannot believe children backchatting and slamming doors and ordering adults around and nothing is said about it! Have they never heard of discipline?

scarlets · 07/06/2016 16:02

Why is Amy still often taken to/collected from school? She's at a comprehensive now, she's about 12-13yo I think. The writers are either infantilising the characters at this age, or they're making them pregnant (or violent mother-beaters) there is no happy medium.

I think it was said a while back that Michelle was with Will for six months at age 14. She married Ryan's dad at 16 because she was pregnant. So I guess she went straight from one to t'other.

The fight was pantomimic.

Akire · 07/06/2016 16:26

Amy started high school last September so must be nearly 12 but not had birthday yet. I'm looking forward to twins starting high sch in September not that they are let out of cupboard much!

Hope they may Craig do something other than joining window cleaning

NuggetofPurestGreen · 07/06/2016 17:12

I thought the fight was supposed to be funny?

Also why did Michelle keep saying 'we didn't go all the way'. Who says that after the age of 12??

Akire · 07/06/2016 17:36

Yes thought fight was supposed to be funny and real life to how Tim would have acted.

millimat · 07/06/2016 21:23

Amy has v similar birthday to dd- she's 12.
Have I missed why Steve's arm is in a sling?

seeyounearertime · 07/06/2016 21:28

Steve hurt his arm moving a barrel. I think k he hurt it in real life though and that's the cover story

MadHattersWineParty · 08/06/2016 09:49

Steve was doing proper pantomime-dame acting when he and Michelle were talking at the end of that episode! It was a bit much.

Thought it was a bit soon for the Platts to move back in to their house.

Rachel0Greep · 08/06/2016 20:16

I wish the ridiculous Callum story was over and done with. Hmm

katemiddletonsnudeheels · 08/06/2016 21:35

Amy is I think in year 7 - she was born February 2004. Bethany is year 10 (June 2000).
