Corrie thread - How many more implausible plots until the new person takes over? NO SPOILERS PLEASE

Have started a new thread as the old one was nearly full and people wanted a "No spoilers" message in the title.

Are we placing too much hope in the new producer? How the hell are they going to get out of the plot holes?

I read the other day that the Les Battersby actor was seen at the studios. I am hoping that was a bad-taste April Fool's joke.

It annoys me a bit how minor Cathy's injuries were, and how quickly she was out of hospital. It looked like she'd been much more seriously hurt than that.

Also, I don't think Roy would marry again after Hayley. He might have another relationship, but I don't think he would marry again.

Is it just me that finds Roy boring?

As if Eva would react like that and risk her relationship with Aidan, and hurt Chesney. She might have had a go at Sinead in private, but that scene was very implausible. Like so much of the programme, I know.

Agree about Cathy even if not seriously injured she did get knocked so got to have lot of bruising swelling to back or side she's supposed to be late 50s??

I agree about Eva. Plus I think she is the sort who would have understood that it was just something silly, due to too much to drink.

What happened with Sinead and Aiden, must have missed that one?

She just got pissed (crap-acting pissed) and lunged at him I think Because she was upset that Chesney ignored her a bit and didn't take her to the Bistro when he got back from about three months in Cypress. Or something.

Chesney is like a boring old man and he's only about 21. He really annoys me.

Yeah, classic word-slur, (although she sounds like she does that anyway when she's talking normally!) slight mascara smudge and a little exaggerated stumble on her heels. GCSE drama textbook.

I was thinking that madhatter...she does slur a bit when she's talking. What a bloody poor quality of actors in Corrie these days. When you think of the likes of Elsie Tanner, Bet Lynch, Hilda Ogden, Vera Duckworth, all such strong women, and interesting. Not one of them in them days annoyed me and I wouldn't miss a single episode. Now I can take it or leave it.

Yes definitely slurry and over the top accent. I remember her being greasy haired Jodie Allen and can't quite shake it. chesney is so boring like an old grandad. similar to Ashley (remember) in some ways.

Why is Sarah staying in Carla's flat? It's up for sale and Carla has split with Nick so it's a cheek, surely? Next they'll be expecting us to forget the sale so they end up staying indefinitely.

I didn't understand why Aiden told Eva anything. Sinead is part of his staff so whatever they were discussing should have been confidential as far as Eva was concerned.

Just watching yesterday's and Cathy's reaction to the ring was lovely. She's my favourite character at the moment.

I suppose Nick has moved back to his, which is where Sara was living. Very odd

I read somewhere that the Platts moved into Carla's apartment. I think Sarah was living at Nick's for the last while. Can't fathom how / why the Platts would move into Carla's.

What is she living on in Devon with no flat money? She gambled away most of her stake in the business didn't she?

What on earth was Cathy's tattoo all about?!

And where has Nick gone? Quite apart from the fact that he would probably be interviewed and should be supporting his siblings, the last couple of months have been centred on his storyline. So where is he? What's happening in the aftermath?

What was the point of Maria's gay husband? Where's her boyfriend? Where's Steph and her boyfriend? Where's Dev? Wouldn't the Nazirs also be helping police with their enquiries? What's happened to Simon after he started hitting Leanne?

Why are we still watching this shite?

What happened to all of Tyrone's scrap metal? Did I miss an episode where he sold it? Or has it just mysteriously vanished?

It's been said before and I am going to say it again, they should draw a line under most of the current rubbish and start afresh!

The new boss hasn't made much difference yet if she's started. She needs to read what we all have to say.
