Corrie thread - How many more implausible plots until the new person takes over? NO SPOILERS PLEASE

Have started a new thread as the old one was nearly full and people wanted a "No spoilers" message in the title.

Are we placing too much hope in the new producer? How the hell are they going to get out of the plot holes?

I read the other day that the Les Battersby actor was seen at the studios. I am hoping that was a bad-taste April Fool's joke.

Any clue on what's happening with Billy and his "parishioner"

Towards the end of last night's episode Billy said that he was his brother after he managed to escape from Todd and Gary having tried to steal money from the florists. I can't believe that there was a lot of cash in the shop as no one ever goes in to buy anything.

Thank you!! Why would he keep his brother a secret. I was going for a love child or something

I also saw a sign in the florist of 2 bouquets for a tenner. Can't be much good

I'm sure in last night's ep Connor dad (Johnny?) calls Jenny, Sally (her real name)

I watched it now and yes, he said 'eyeing up Sally' when talking about Jenny.

I have seen better acting in many an amateur production than the policeman.

I thought so but was watching live so couldn't go back to it - how did no one pick that up before broadcast?

There must be a point to Tony dying and Callum's body being uncovered? Maybe they will try to blame him? And Jason?

Maybe that's why Jason has been linked with Gemma.

Why is Izzy being pursued like she's a cut price Carlos The Jackal? Getting raided by the police? I thought a small amount of cannabis for personal use is disregarded? Especially with her using it for medical reasons.

Sally is looking more and more like Angela Merkel .
I was beyond cringeing at Gail. She acts as if she has a mental age of six sometimes.

I did laugh at drunk Cathy and 'Pleased to meet you Princess Diana'. I like Cathy but that's down to Melanie Hill.

Actually I think it was Lady Diana which is even funnier somehow.

Izzy should be locked away for life for crimes against acting.

They don't even pretend to sew knickers in the factory any more. It is just a place to gossip. Mike Baldwin must be spinning in his grave.

Does Alya still work at the factory? There's Johnny, Aidan and Carla, so can't imagine what there is for her to do.

I think she does. There has been no sign of her there in ages. I thought we would see her lording it over Sally when Sally was moved back to the factory floor.

And here we go, more 'acting' by Izzie and co.

I agree about Izzy's acting. It's painful to watch. The crying scenes tonight were as bad as Fizz's, and that's saying something. I also hate any police involved in the storylines, they never get it right. Cringe making stuff.

Izzy was dreadful tonight. I wonder if they are going to try and make a big issue of medical marijuana though and show her getting an empathetic judge?

Glad I didn't bother with last night's episode. I see that there's more boring Tracey vs Carla crap tonight so I'm not watching tonight as well.

I don't watch soaps much to find Izzy doing drugs and Jane slumped on a cake.

Fawn= phone in Izzy speak, I had to actually mute her, she was painful to listen to. I agree about Mary, so funny when she talks about certain incidents in her childhood.....and seeing the other persons face totally bewildered. Just gentle humour without the impossibly far fetched plots. That's what Corrie used to be about.

Watched Thursday's episode with a kind of horrid fascination, spared myself tonight!

It keeps niggling at the back of my mind that the actress who plays Izzy suffers from the condition that she is portraying. She is such a poor actress that any thought that might be given to the actual condition / relief of symptoms is just totally forgotten.

Not sure if I missed episode or just 5m one night Izzy about to be dragged to cop shop and Gary in court next they are both on door step saying oh dear what a mix up!

So Gary got off? And Izzy got court date? Izzy has very bad drug record she's got it like 5 times Gary been searched twice she been arrested not sure that's quite the odds. They have feel day here can't go out without smelling someone smoking it.

Ideally Emily would give her some cuttings from garden and say these to wonders for my arthritis!

Izzy and Cherry have the same syndrome.
