Corrie thread - How many more implausible plots until the new person takes over? NO SPOILERS PLEASE

Have started a new thread as the old one was nearly full and people wanted a "No spoilers" message in the title.

Are we placing too much hope in the new producer? How the hell are they going to get out of the plot holes?

I read the other day that the Les Battersby actor was seen at the studios. I am hoping that was a bad-taste April Fool's joke.

Why is Jenny in the factory ALL day? Since when does a cleaner hang around for hours and make tea for everyone?

Eastie77 omg that annoys me too! Surely a cleaner comes in morning or afternoon and does a few hours? But she is full time, just so she can date the boss.

Get rid of: Sophie, Maria, Chesney- none of them can act and are beyond dull!

How was Sophie a self stacker in the local corner shop now doing bookkeeping and VAT?
Ches was great as a child but is now an adult and Zzzz.
As for Fizz and co- they bought a blow up Santa and booked one holiday, yet are on the breadline despite being business owners?

I agree Tony was great, why kill him off?! He could have sorted Philan and his weird top lip.
Gemma is great to watch- an actress with some talent at last.

I was trying to think of a decent chap who could provide some love interest for Gemma as Jason is leaving. Perhaps Maria could be jettisoned, so that Luke becomes available.

Was also confused over Jack gone from supposly 4 year old who's carried about like a 2 year old to a bright alert 5/6y old.

How many more people are going work in cafe? Anna new woman her nephew and Roy!! The bistro seem to run on 2 people.

I had seen pictures of Jack in some spoilers and he seemed to have grown a new head much taller. Then again, he has had plenty of time to grow

Half watched tonight. It just seemed to be all over the place.

The timescale was ridiculous last night - they'd all had time to get drunk, go clubbing, get arrested and deal with all the police station stuff then it was still broad daylight when they got out.

They really need to do something about the lighting. It never gets dark.

Would it kill them to film some seems in the bloody night time? Ridiculous.

Apart from the hen party there were about three people in that 'club' (although that's three more than you'd expect to see at 4pm)

The hen party drunk acting was pathetic. And of course, despite being supposedly drunk, none of them had a rib out of place, or smudged makeup.
Carla, as usual, was completely sober, despite having, presumably, as much to drink as the rest of them.

The Chesney 'storyline', please make it and him, and Sinead, go away.

They'd only had about one glass of wine between them in the club! The 'acting' smashed was hilarious but for the wrong reasons, I was just cringing. Shockingly bad.

Isn't Carla supposed to be staying sober ?

I've always loved corrie it's the only soap i watch but i wish they'd get rid of

There are so many characters that need to be cleared out. Should be lots of space for new ones if that clear out did happen.

The hen party scenes last night were so awful in every respect. Not for the first time I felt sorry for Helen Worth and Alison King for having to be involved in such crap.

Can't wait to see what the new producer does with stories and characters. She's been in the job for over a month now so we should be hearing about some of her decisions soon I would have thought.

Just watching yesterday's, why did all men go collect girl friends? Coulnt any of them you know, ring for a taxi!!! Not like any of them were going home alone and going to forget where they left. Besides facts would needed twice the amount taxis to bring them all back!

I hadn't watched it for ages until last night. YY to permanent daylight and what they have done to Gail. Caz can do one but I quite like the other girl. The Bridesmaids' scene with the mic was cringing but I did like Sally's line about drinking from the well.

Sarah should be offed and put in the hole next to thingy (if he is still there). Gemma reminds me of a younger Beth when Beth first arrived.

Why was Beth even at the hen do ?
Carla fired Beth ( awhile back and then rehired her grudgingly) Beth has always stuck up for Tracey against Carla and Carla doesn't like Beth's attitude.

The same for Maria , Carla had an affair with Liam when Maria was with him. I know they not at each other's throats but it seems people forget what others have done to them far too easily.

They might as well as have Tracey at the hen do.

I think Maria and Carla made up when Carla was raped by Frank Foster and he had tried to rape Maria earlier and Maria was the only one that believed her.

Wasn't Maria working for Carla when Frank Foster tried to rape her though?

Yep but they weren't really close I don't think. Unless I'm misremembering.
