Yes - me Smile

Wilding · 29/03/2016 19:46

Ooh what's that? Sounds right up my street!

TheSpottedZebra · 29/03/2016 19:46

Me too!

dylsmimi · 29/03/2016 19:49

Me! Though I heard (possibly the chef from it - the dc were chatting) that it isn't really like the bake off but it looks like some amazing cakes so I am in!

Cocolepew · 29/03/2016 19:55

some info

OP posts:
Wilding · 29/03/2016 20:00

Ooh yes, will definitely give that a go!

TheSpottedZebra · 29/03/2016 20:01

Tom (who I'm not sure I like) has said he's not tasting. But he's there as the presenter, not a judge. So as to not put the weight back on.

So he won't be the new Greg Wallace ie terrifying tasting faces, alas.

Roussette · 29/03/2016 20:04

I'm in! Hi all Smile

I do prefer amateurs I admit but looking in to see what it's all about...

Roussette · 29/03/2016 20:06

Are they in teams? It isn't individual then....

LemonRedwood · 29/03/2016 20:07

I'm in Grin

Have massive respect for Tom Kerridge since he did a puff pastry "pizza" and smothered it in bovril!

WhoKnowsWhereTheChocolateGoes · 29/03/2016 20:08

I'm watching but my battery is nearly flat so might have to catch up with the thread later.

Roussette · 29/03/2016 20:09

So Graham with the stuck up hair is a dead ringer for Dustin Hoffman...

LemonRedwood · 29/03/2016 20:09

Ooh, the Grove, that's near me. Didn't realise it was 5 star and didn't particularly rate their afternoon tea when we last went Confused
Couple of years ago now though

Cocolepew · 29/03/2016 20:11

I want to test M&S cakes Envy

OP posts:
Roussette · 29/03/2016 20:11

God I'd love that choux pastry thing.... love love love eclairs and profteroles

TheSpottedZebra · 29/03/2016 20:13

I'm a bit bored already - it's just sugary showing-off, isn't it? I prefer 'normal cake' I think.

And Tom sounds v disengaged, like he's reading a phone book or a list of computer componentry.

Roussette · 29/03/2016 20:14

Yes, it's not like GBBO... this is all about poncey stuff and big egos

Roussette · 29/03/2016 20:16

I like TomK too but he is a bit robotic and not exactly a natural

RozTheSchnoz · 29/03/2016 20:17

Just checking in... Had high hopes for it but no sure about this team concept...

RozTheSchnoz · 29/03/2016 20:18

I missed the very start dealing with DS2... How have they formulated the teams?

WhoKnowsWhereTheChocolateGoes · 29/03/2016 20:19

Did anyone see that documentary about the French pattisieres (sp?) competing for the Kings of Pastry a few years ago? Made this lot look like complete amateurs.

Snoopadoop · 29/03/2016 20:19

I'm with you. The team element is a bit annoying, I don't think it works.

Cocolepew · 29/03/2016 20:19

The 3 people in the teams work together Roz

OP posts:
lucjam2105 · 29/03/2016 20:20

dreary, i'm v dissappointed

WhoKnowsWhereTheChocolateGoes · 29/03/2016 20:20

These are teams that work together IRL Roz
