the last thread got to 1000 (took 2 and a half YEARS Grin )

So:
Paddy and Rhona off to Germany with Marlons blessing.
Why did Rhona say "Pretend you fell off a horse" to explain his bruise. He's a Vet. He could've been kicked by any sort of animal, he's the most unlikely equestrian ever.

Eric- something going on with him. Not just a touch of dodgy tummy, I reckon he'll have something serious and bowel related (a slow burn storyline )

Holly- can't stick her, whiney irritating little twerp.

Charity, you are not the hottest thing to walk the Dales. Go Away.

Ashley Sad

Chrissie/Andy/Robert .
Chrissie and Robert are talking . Is there going to be another Sudgen Brother Love Triangle? (Yawn)

She genuinely cares about her family and we've seen her be a good nurse, even compassionate with Chas. I just don't get these bizarre schemes of hers - maybe she's mentally ill.

southeastdweller · 13/05/2016 09:08

Apart from his marriage potentially ending, the Dr would get struck off, though, wouldn't he, if it comes to light he's been shagging his 17 year old patient who he knows has had severe mental health issues. You could argue that Belle is vulnerable.

IsMyUserNameRubbish · 13/05/2016 09:12

Yes he could be struck off, but if he and Belle deny it, there's only Emma's word for it, so I'd say get on with it luv, I'll just ring the Police now about you for threatening to blackmail me because you told yeh kids yeh was dieing so pick yeh P45 up on the way out, or words to that effect.

Rachel0Greep · 13/05/2016 19:23

Please make Holly go away.

JaneJeffer · 14/05/2016 00:09

Edna's funeral was so sad I cried all through it. Beautifully done.

I'm taking bets on how long it is before Pierce holds everyone hostage in the pub, or the coffee shop, to get the answers he's looking for.

HyacinthBouquetNo1 · 19/05/2016 16:31

I am really cheesed off with Emmerdale atm, hate the Ashley storyline, wish they would hurry up and kill him off, and then now we have David with cancer, arrgh, i dont want to watch tv shows about illnesses, need some escapism, not this dreariness, i am just fastforwarding all the boring bits now, watched a whole episode in 10 mins the other night!

Rachel0Greep · 19/05/2016 20:24

True Grin
I think Emmerdale is going a bit pear shaped. I cringed my way through Pierce and Rhona screaming and throwing away their wedding rings. Ugh!

ellenanora5 · 20/05/2016 19:09

It has Rachel, and why on earth does Ashley keep insisting he can look after his son when he clearly can't, he forgot he had him for goodness sake.

I'm wondering how long they can keep the storyline going for Hyacinth, it's getting tedious now.

HyacinthBouquetNo1 · 20/05/2016 20:45

I know, i am only carrying on watching in the hope of a glimpse of badboy Ross Barton, mm mm! Makes suffering the boring drivel worthwhile.

Rachel0Greep · 21/05/2016 09:45

I'm intrigued (well not really) that Dour Doug's presence helps business to increase at the B&B. I like Diane, I just don't know what she sees in him. I don't know if we have ever seen Tracy lounging around as much, in all the time she is there, as she was doing last night.

IsMyUserNameRubbish · 23/05/2016 08:16

I hope Pierce holds up the B&B and kills of Tracy and Doug, I really do hope. It's funny how the show has decided to turn Ashley into a stuttering bafoon and simpleton every time he has a memory lapse, very disrespectful to the people who are going through it for real right now.

ellenanora5 · 23/05/2016 19:57

So, let me get this straight, Lawrence and Ronnie were lovers, he had nothing to do with Lawrence first wife and is not and never has been Chrissys father.

Is that right Confused

Ismyusernamerubbish, I have to agree, at first I thought they were going to handle that storyline really well, but they are not, and now Laurel thinks she she doesn't need any help (give me strength) even though she has a full time job but will go partime (potential storyline about getting into debt) a son to look after and a father in law who needs help on a daily basis, right so, good luck to her, she's going to need it.

southeastdweller · 23/05/2016 21:55

It looks like that ellen re Lawrence and Ronnie. I did wonder why the love letters Lawrence kept weren't addressed to Chrissy's mother.

The Pearce and Rhona storyline is driving me nuts. I can kind of understand that she'd have a one night stand with him but to have him move in with her and her son when she barely knows Pearce and now a few weeks later practically having a full blown relationship with him is ridiculous.

Rachel0Greep · 24/05/2016 10:47

Emmerdale is definitely going somewhat pearshaped.
I can't summon up any interest in some of the daft stuff going on.

Eastie77 · 24/05/2016 16:35

I'm confused, think I've missed a few episodes. Ronnie is not Chrissy's dad? So why does Lawrence keep saying Ronnie must keep away from Chrissy and she must never know the truth etc. Doesn't she already know he was/is gay?

Rachel0Greep · 24/05/2016 16:39

Same here Eastie, missed some episodes. Is it that Ronnie was with both Lawrence and Chrissie's mother?

southeastdweller · 24/05/2016 17:36

Chrissie asked Lawrence if he was gay and he wouldn't answer, but he went on about how much he loved her mother, my trading of why he's being secretive about Billy Corkhill is that he doesn't want Chrissie to think that he betrayed her mum.

southeastdweller · 24/05/2016 17:37

My reading

Eastie77 · 25/05/2016 21:33

So now he is giving Sam, the village dimwit he just sacked, the task of killing/threatening Ronnie with a gun. This is just weeks after a similar plan to deal with Andy worked so wellHmm

Rachel0Greep · 25/05/2016 22:53

It's just annoying, that Lawrence / Ronnie stuff.
As for that stupid boat, I'm sure Debbie will want that burnt when she returns!

Jojoanna · 26/05/2016 06:28

I don't understand the Lawrence /Ronnie stuff. He's Lawrence's former lover and Chrisses father ? Confused

2ManySweets · 26/05/2016 06:36

Ronnie was Lawrence's lover, 30 years ago.

Maybe, just maybe Ronnie is Chrissie's father. Perhaps Lawrence wanted "Ronnie's" baby so he let his wife at the time get knocked up by him?)

Overall, Emmerdale is a bit pants right now. Lawrence's hammy bellowing in every ruddy episode is getting right on my tits.

Rachel0Greep · 27/05/2016 23:57

I agree it's a bit pants lately.
That stupid looking boat, aaaargh. As if! Built from a flat pack. Give me strength. Speaking of hammy bellowing, Sandy...Hmm

Holly just leaves me cold. I have no idea why she was brought back.

HyacinthBouquetNo1 · 28/05/2016 07:07

Holly just taken overdose of heroin, am i terrible for not wanting her to wake up?Grin
