Emmerdale- are we in the least bit bovvered what happens in The Dales right now?

the last thread got to 1000 (took 2 and a half YEARS Grin )

So:
Paddy and Rhona off to Germany with Marlons blessing.
Why did Rhona say "Pretend you fell off a horse" to explain his bruise. He's a Vet. He could've been kicked by any sort of animal, he's the most unlikely equestrian ever.

Eric- something going on with him. Not just a touch of dodgy tummy, I reckon he'll have something serious and bowel related (a slow burn storyline )

Holly- can't stick her, whiney irritating little twerp.

Holly (or the girl who plays her) is dreadful. How can they have thought she was good enough to bring her back ? Why not with a new head ? Wink Surely there are plenty of out of work actresses out there who can actually act ?!

Yay, loving Emmerdale.

Bloody Holly better keep her mitts off Cain. There's no way he will go there but I see a nasty storyline ahead where she tries to set him up after he knocks her back.

I remember Cain going after Ollie too, wasn't she in a lesbian relationship with Debbie? I do recall a rather ick storeyline where Cain was trying to sleep with his daughter's girlfriend. She was Ashley's niece I think.

Yes thats right! That wasnt Ollie though. Ollie was way before then, possibly before debbie was even in Emmerdale.

Ashley's niece was (i think) Scarlet, who then went on to be in Dr Who.

I'm going to have to google.

I was wrong, Ashley's niece was jasmine (jenna louise coleman-who went on to be in DR who) and scarlett was Tom King's daughter.

Ollie Reynolds was in emmerdale in 1999-2003.

Debbie dingle first appeared 24th december 2002. No romance between the two.

Ahhh, maybe I'm remembering the wrong mother daughter combo. Cain was after Ollie Reynolds and then fell in love with her mother Angie.

Although I'm sure I remember him going after Jasmine too. It was Jasmine who spent 5 minutes being a lesbian with Debbie.

Slattern you are right! Cain seduced jasmine to get at Debbie. And jasmine got pregnant!! She had an abortion.

Cain really was a vile waste of oxygen back the. Wasnt he? He seduced teenage Ollie to get at her mum, seduced teenage Jasmine to get at his own daughter and got her pregnant, and was furious when she aborted as he wanted the baby then seduced teenage Amy and got her pregnant, tried to force her to have an abortion and didnt want to know when her baby was born! He treated her appallingly.

Ive just been readinv wikipedia on all these characters, it makes me want to go back and rewatch it all.

I felt absolutely nothing when Holly was 'crying' last night, towards the end of the episode. Probably because Holly is one of the most expressionless characters I have ever seen. Her face doesn't really move, or portray any emotion.
Actually I did feel something...a wish to turn off the tv... Wink

Yes rude Belle is 17, and he must be MINIMUM 25, ok she MAY look older but, ugh, makes my skin crawl......

Holly is so vanilla, no expression, no emotion, I'd find it hard to mother her, she's awful, and I really hope she doesn't try to seduce Cain. And I doubly hope if she does, he doesn't go for it, ugh, ugh....
I love Cain, but please PLEASE don't let him fall for holly ....

I think unless moira does something devastatingly out if character to annoy cain then we're safe enough with him rejecting Holly's advances. It seems he only seduces teens to get back at their mothers or his own daughter Hmm but i think he has turned over a new leaf in that respect.

Been poorly last few days (35 weeks pregnant with dc3) and haven't checked in on this thread, glad to see its been moving!

Yes yes to holly being a terrible story line and there's no way that Cain will be interested! Its just irritating because you can see where they are going to take it and it's pointless!

I was very creeped out at the belle and the dr development! She's led him to believe she's at uni so he doesn't know her real age. That will be interesting!

I like the Andy and Chrissie thing, they make a nice couple! I'm still rooting for Aaron and Robert to make a go of things but I cannot stand Aaron's little sister and I think that's just a useless distraction from what was actually a genuinely interesting story!

Im finding aaron's sister character hard to buy. What age is she supposed to be? 12/13? Not the character but what they have her doing. Its the interactions with gordon i dont buy. And what the hell was that crap with him asking her to get Chaz's bank statements!! Hmm firstly most people get their statements online now, secondly chas wont have them lying around, thirdly what child that age would even know what to look for on a bank statement? And lastly, as if Chaz would use money out of her bank account to pay that fake witness. If she was doing anything she would have far more options than that.

I havent seen this evening's but last nights had him correcting her fighting stance and very close contact. Its leading to something.
