Emmerdale- are we in the least bit bovvered what happens in The Dales right now?

So:
Paddy and Rhona off to Germany with Marlons blessing.
Why did Rhona say "Pretend you fell off a horse" to explain his bruise. He's a Vet. He could've been kicked by any sort of animal, he's the most unlikely equestrian ever.

Eric- something going on with him. Not just a touch of dodgy tummy, I reckon he'll have something serious and bowel related (a slow burn storyline )

Holly- can't stick her, whiney irritating little twerp.

Charity, you are not the hottest thing to walk the Dales. Go Away.

Also, the letter was in a box full of "memories", photos etc, why would he keep a letter from his dead wives lover in there? I think it could have been his lover like other pp have said.

Yep, I reckon it was his lover, Edna's husband, she shopped them to the police and Lawrence did time in prison, Edna's husband didn't go to jail as far as I remember.

So I wonder if Chrissy has a different dad.

I still can't see Zach and Joanie going the distance, it's all very quick, and what is Belle thinking off, seeing the doctor, this will end in tears.

How (un)fortunate that Lisa was in the kitchen, and witnessed the proposal. I can't help thinking that Steve Haliwell must be cringing playing his part these days. That is just not Zak. Although I did laugh at Charity's reaction.
I am always amused that Marlon is under such pressure in the kitchen. Despite the fact that nobody seems to be ordering food. Hmm

Didn't Emma fancy that doctor when she first started working with him? He didn't fancy her and didn't really want to meet up with her for a drink, but he didn't mention he was married.

Rachel I thought the same, the doctor didn't mention being married before. And much as I think the Belle character is acted so well, she looks much younger than her 17 years, so again don't think the doctor would be interested.
Holly is a whiny voiced bore! Joanie to me is like a projection of Charity as she grows older, still behaving like God's gift to men!
The Ashley storylines are superb, but also painful for me, my husband was developing dementia before he died due to an error with his chemo.
I watch Corrie and 'Enders too, but Emmerdale is the only one I watch without MN'ing or Face booking at the same time! I watched it as a child with my mum, (Dolly, Matt and the sheep Smile), then came back to it in my first maternity leave in 1992.

Completely agree with all of what you said. I love the comparison of Joanie and Charity, Grin
Holly is actually putting me off watching, she is dreadful, very poorly acted, IMO.

Same here, I watch Corrie, although lately am avoiding it a bit, no interesting stories. I've just returned to 'Enders very recently, am a bit lost as regards some characters/ storylines, but am catching up.
Emmerdale is the one I try not to miss.

Emmerdale is so good at the moment - most of the stories are absorbing and well acted, and there's a decent amount of eye candy. Growing up in the 80's, I remember that it used to be known as the 'poor relation' of soaps. Never did I think that in every possible way would it be superior to Corrie Shock

I think Zack will dump Joanie when he realises he can't handle her flirtatious behaviour and try to get back with Lisa but she will have moved on. Why was he at Moany Meghan's empty christening rather than supporting Aaron at court!

Belle looks about 15 with that perpetual, childish scowl on her face.

Belles not pulling off the sultry seductress look at all, she's also thick, she said to the doctor "you pick the meeting place next time" or something like it, but she was the one who bombarded him at work, ah she's annoying me, but she always does.

I agree about Zach, both him and Lisa must be thinking what the hell is going on, it's a ridiculous storyline, and they are such fantastic actors it doesn't make sense at all.

I wonder will liv carry on with the pretence or tell the truth, I hope Aaron gets justice, god knows he deserves it, he had a crap upbringing and his mother is a mouth almighty who can't even keep it shut in court, I hate the way she always has a go at someone in every court scene.

Eastie17, Megan and Zach have been friends for ages, she always turned to him for a shoulder to cry on when Declan and Charity were horrible to her, he's been really good to her in the past and her to him.

I've just typed an essay, sorry Blush

When is Debbie coming back? I was sad when Cameron turned into a psycho, I really liked him and enjoyed the early storylines with Debbie and Sarah, and later when Jack was being conceived. (Obvs not the actual conception, but the way things went with Debbie/Cameron and Andy) Grin

I really love Aaron's storylines. He is such a fantastic actor and they really do make the most of that by giving him great stuff he can make his own. I cant think of another actor in the show who could pull off what he does.

Will be glad when the trial is over and hope Aaron gets some happier storylines. I know he does a great job of acting the part, but I'm getting a little fed up of the poor guy's misery.

Don't like Liv at all and don't get me started on the subject of that awful baby-voiced daughter of Moira's. I can see her stirring up trouble pretending that Cain has made advanced towards her.

I wish Paddy the overgrown boiled egg would go as far away as possible, as soon as possible. The very thought that any woman would be attracted to him makes me want to vomit

Danny Miller is a terrific actor and I too hope Aaron gets some nice stories from now on, but now he's back with Robert, I can't see it.
