That's what I'm thinking RudeElf, but I think she has a motive, she'll try to get him in the sack and then tell Moira all about it, saying she knew he was a bad one all along and it's his fault her father is dead etc etc

How come Harriet can go back to the church, I thought she was fired, can you just pop in and out of the job when you have nothing else to do, Ashley has done it more than once as well, surely the bishop wouldn't have too much faith in the vicars that keep losing their faith

I wonder where this Zach and Joanie relationship story is heading. When it all came out at Christmas I expected it to end quickly and Zach would soon be back at the farm with his tail between his legs and Lisa would take him back. But the decree absolute is coming so maybe it's the end for them for good. I always thought him and Lisa were the only soap couple who would go the distance.

Edna hasn't been mentioned at all, I loved Edna, she was a great character.

That hospital sees an awful lot of action for such a small village.

Why are the factory girls makin such a big thing about Joanie and Rishi, have I missed something.

She was brilliant. I was thinking last night when I was writing the post, that she was such a 'real' character, as many of the characters in Emmerdale are. She would have been so much a part of the story about Ashley, and now Harriet.

That factory amuses me, I wonder how it survives. I missed most of tonight so I only saw the bit where Kerry was comparing what Zak had to offer, versus Rishi. Half a dog...

Yes, she was mentioned as being away, staying with someone, I forget who.

I presume that it takes time anyway, out of respect for the person, and their family, to deal with the death of an actor / actress. Plus, I'm sure it's difficult for those who worked with someone for many years, to be able to deal with such storylines.

It's a tribute, IMO, that many people noticed the absence of Edna from storylines, it shows how credible her character was. I can't help thinking of her, in relation to the Ashley storyline, in particular.

Belle and the Doctor (soooo not a good idea, no wayy would a GP hit on a teenager who could potentiallly be a patient , married or not).

The scene where Robert gazed at Lawrence, his reflection in the coffee table was very remenicent of the King Tate/Frank Tate scene - probably in the same room

i wonder if the letter that chrissy was holding was to her dad from his male lover, thats why he was getting in such a panic

robert told lawrance he was going back to his solictor to get more of the business
lawrence said he wasnt getting anything and he would have him done over like he did andy ( only not in so many words but robert guessed it was him that got andy beaten up)

It was from her mum's ex-lover.

no he had the heart attack when chrissy confronted him about having andy beaten up, but she walked out before he keeled over with his heart, robert walked in and found him on the floor and left him there.
bernice found him and got him to hospital

You're right hairy, it wasn't addressed to anyone. I was reading about the story in a magazine and it said it was addressed to 'Ellen' but they got it wrong (just rewatched the scene where she sees the letter for the first time).

Why does chrissie think lawrence isnt her dad?

As he was still assuming Bernice was having an affair with Andy, I thought Lawrence was contemplating his first marriage when he was looking at the letter and how his first wife hurt him by having an affair. Lawrence told Chrissie that he and her mum had a sexless and open marriage and Chrissie also knows he went to prison for having sex with another man.

because chrissy knows her dad and bernice dont sleep together and she knows he had the same relationship with her mother, and also he gave his blessing for her mother to have other relationships as long as he didnt know the men
