Emmerdale- are we in the least bit bovvered what happens in The Dales right now?

So:
Paddy and Rhona off to Germany with Marlons blessing.
Why did Rhona say "Pretend you fell off a horse" to explain his bruise. He's a Vet. He could've been kicked by any sort of animal, he's the most unlikely equestrian ever.

Eric- something going on with him. Not just a touch of dodgy tummy, I reckon he'll have something serious and bowel related (a slow burn storyline )

Holly- can't stick her, whiney irritating little twerp.

nah thelegend i think joanie wrote her name on the paper, she had a red pen on the table in the pub( it was written in red) and when zak said he wanted to know who had wrote her name the camera went to joanies red pen on the table

It was Joanie who wrote her own name. She must have read Belle's diary and now knows that Zac kissed Lisa. So Joanie is trying to create a situation where her and Zac move away from the village and away from Lisa. And if Belle gets the blame, oh well.

Oh that farce with Bernice/Jimmy/Nicola was absolutely ridiculous/ The same old scenario with someone almost getting away with something and then getting found out at the last minute.

Sadly nothing happening but the rehashing of old stories time and time again.

I wonder if it will come back to him. I think he might have a drink problem because all he's done since he arrived is have booze-ups with Finn.

I kind of don't want Emma to get found out because I love her, Gillian Kearney is so good. I notice she's been wearing a cross since her chat with Harriet about forgiveness.

Now there's a thought! If Ashley remembered seeing a woman in a blood soaked wedding dress clutching a cleaver and a dead chicken as she pushed James off the bridge no one would take him seriously, what with his dementia. BUT if Kareem saw her he'd more likely to be believed.

As lovely as it would be for Finn to have a happy ending, surely in the in the minds of the writers the role of Kasim will be to give legitimacy to the (inevitably) disbelieved Ashley.

But he's still not said "you were on the bridge" to Emma in front of anyone else PLUS the video camera is still to be found. Surely that'll be whipped out at Christmas.

In a quick aside; dear Santa, please can you make my baby sleep as well as Dotty please? She's zonko upstairs in every scene at Ashley's house Grin

It seems to be set up for Kasim to have some kind of dramatic flashback. Perhaps on Xmas day he'll see Emma carving the turkey, brandishing a big knife, and it will all come flooding back!

I really wish they would hurry up and kill Ashley off and put him and us out of his misery! Its Christmas and we have the most boring storyline ever and next Tuesday we are to be treated to a "special" episode all about Ashley, think I will be giving it a miss. Hmm

The episode about Ashley next week is to be done from his view I believe - will give us an insight as to how dementia sufferers see the world, I'm not looking forward to it as I think it will be very emotional and powerful but having a relative with dementia I will watch it. Might be boring for you but very emotional for those affected by it.

I think the Ashley story is brilliantly done, so realistic and so sad. I know I will cry when that episode airs. John Middleton is brilliant.

Emmerdale has some of the best actors who can go from comic to tragic.

Hetty I get where you're coming from but the special episode on tuesday is being told from his point of view; just give an idea of what the world of the person suffering is like.

I'm watching with interest as I know that the writers have apparently been working intensely on this with the agencies to make sure they get the episode bang on. As much to drive the point home but also to not risk being pilloried for a poor representation.

Anyway - I've got the TiVO poised and ready as I'm away until Weds x

Sorry to barge in....I happened across the omnibus today....what is the name of the actress who plays the blonde girl living in the big house? Wore a floppy hat when speaking to Liv when Liv was trying to pick the Padlock at the old Mill.

I'm sure I recognise her from something but didn't catch her characters name and it's really bugging me.

Any help appreciated!

The character is called Rebecca and she's played by Emily Head. She was the terrible Carly in The Inbetweeners and now she's the terrible Rebecca in Emmerdale.

One facial expression and I agree with the PP who wanted to beat her over the head with that silly floppy hat.
