Emmerdale- are we in the least bit bovvered what happens in The Dales right now?

the last thread got to 1000 (took 2 and a half YEARS Grin )

So:
Paddy and Rhona off to Germany with Marlons blessing.
Why did Rhona say "Pretend you fell off a horse" to explain his bruise. He's a Vet. He could've been kicked by any sort of animal, he's the most unlikely equestrian ever.

Eric- something going on with him. Not just a touch of dodgy tummy, I reckon he'll have something serious and bowel related (a slow burn storyline )

Holly- can't stick her, whiney irritating little twerp.

Charity, you are not the hottest thing to walk the Dales. Go Away.

Watched those episodes today. Natalie Robb was absolutely brilliant. Heartbreaking stuff, especially the part with the toy, and her running after the ambulance. I loved that Cain appeared just then and held her. They are such a realistic couple.

Okay Emmerdale, we know you are the best, now please keep the standard up. No more farce.

Why is Jai lying to police? isn't it going to be really obvious if they are reading through her text messages?
Surely you'd just say "we were in a new relationship but it wanted to get to know each over before we made it public".

Charity should not have turned up at the farm. I used to be a sucker for the Cain & Charity on-off storyline but the latest iteration has been too ridiculous. I hope Cain won't stay away after Moira got angry with him.

Very good episode tonight. Poor Adam is struggling with remorse. I think it's a realistic portrayal of how an addict impacts on all their family.

I've been meaning to say this for ages but what is Carly doing with that streak of piss Marlon?! When she looks at him adoringly and asks him for a sexy rubdown I think 'you are earning your money there actress woman who plays Carly'.

They'd never have a hot guy going out with a very plain woman.

I agree - poor Carly actress - in Casualty she was obsessed with some very plain, small guy old enough to be her father. I think Marlon is meant to be a "really good guy" so he is super attractive to women out of his league. I have never liked Marlon (or Paddy) think he is a dreadful "actor" so OTT all the time.

I agree Painbadger - Marlon and Paddy are awful. Their overacting and silly nonsense just gets on my nerves. Paddy is possibly the most unattractive man ever to set foot in Emmerdale. He reminds me of a gigantic boiled egg - how he ever got half the women he has is beyond me. I can't honestly believe somebody who does the ridiculous things he has done would have the intelligence to be a vet.

Poor Rhona - Marlon, Paddy and now the creepy Pierce. She's another actress who earns her money fawning over that trio! At least she has Cain to go home to in real life.

I still don't understand why Rhona and Pierce are calling the shots. It was Paddy's house and business long before Rhona turned up, he's not Leo's dad, I know he's trying to make up for his affair but it still doesn't make sense to me.
The other thing that puzzles me is Moira's farm.. who butchers the cows and preps the meat that she delivers to the Woolpack?
Is Cain leaving? I am hoping he stays and gets back with Moira. And that Debbie comes back. And that someone smacks Chrissie across her smug chops!

Danyella'sDonkey ha, ha you are right - Paddy does look like a boiled egg. None of the Vet's are convincing. Vet Med is the hardest course to get on - you have to have super grades and be totally dedicated to animals. None of the vet's seem to like animals - they don't even have pets. Paddy and Vanessa both seem daft as brushes with Rhona not far behind (and yes I know it is not real life). Vanessa is a partner in the thriving parctice but can only afford to houseshare a tiny rental cottage with 2 other girls (1 other girl and her dad now) but James and Emma who were penniless a few years ago are buying a whole farm?

I was thinking that them buying the farm painbadger, it doesn't make any sense, and did they ever get the deposit back from the flat they were going to buy, I hope James and Emma are written out soon, most pointless couple ever.

I don't mind Paddy that much, but Marlon is painful, he was at his most painful when he was with Laurel, it's amazing how they all manage to move on from broken relationships so quickly.

cherrytree, I think the butchery is done somewhere else, I think there was a storyline about it a long time ago, probably something as exciting as them not being able to pay the bill or something Grin you know....gripping us all with interest.

After the two fabulous episodes with Moira and Holly it went off the boil pretty damn quick again.

Hope Cain isn't leaving, he's one of the few characters I find interesting/believable at the moment.

What's happened to the dreadful Dr Bailey? I missed several episodes and last I saw he was working/living at the Woolpack and Charity was trying to interest him in buying it. Presumably he's rolling in money then as a jobless former GP who has had to lodge with the DinglesConfused How many rooms does the Woolpack have anyway, atm Charity, Noah, Chas, Aaron, Robert and Liv all Iive there?!
