He's on the mend thanks Kelly, back to school tomorrow. Yes, me and MrP is basically it for childcare. Provided he's not sick we cope with before and after school clubs, but illness really stretches us (plus the last 2 times he's been sick MrP has been away meaning that it falls to me). One good thing I'll say about my boss is that he's got 2 little kids and a working wife so he actually does understand when you have to take time off.

DartsTart · 13/04/2016 13:34

How long does filming normally take? Luke is back at the end of the month - would have imagined they would all be out there for several months?

icemistOBE · 13/04/2016 13:40

Filming for 8 weeks in SA and then few more weeks in UK Smile

Oh how lovely would it be if they ended up round my gaf - surely the Plain is where they should be! WinkGrin

moojangles · 13/04/2016 15:56

darts reckon they should be landing near me

moojangles · 13/04/2016 16:43

pix glad ti hear that littlie is on the mend and hope you're feeling better nickel.
Sad to say that pu European neighbours have been robbed of paddling pool and mic swingingSad

Ilovelblue · 13/04/2016 18:22

Darts MN intelligence aka ice says the rest is being filmed in Manchester. That's not too far from me but very close to her. Wondering whether we should storm the building like an SAS troop?

icemistOBE · 13/04/2016 18:44

Yes they are filming in Manchester Grin Not sure dates, location or length of time though

pixieg1rl · 13/04/2016 19:02

Oh ice, I'm doing a Jimmy Hill chin stroke at the thought that you don't know anything about Manchester filming

pixieg1rl · 13/04/2016 19:19

Erm, I seem to have got myself on the committee of the after school club. Well, at least I'll get out of the house 6 evenings a year....

Nickel45 · 13/04/2016 19:43

Congrats pix rather you than me!!!! how did you manage that?

Thank you for your kind words. It's amazing how little sleep you can survive on, isn't it (although not entirely sure my boss would agree!). Trying to fit too much into the child-free hours, which are now starting later than ever. Unfortunately they need less sleep than me, but littlie is still too young to sort herself out. Like when the quilt isn't in exactly the right place and for some reason she can't pull it up herself or the teddy can't be found even though it's one inch away from her hand. I know I should be treasuring every moment and they grow up far too quick, but just one night I'd like to get to bed earlier like now! and not have to get up till the morning.

rhu finally caught up,with your ff today well, couldn't concentrate on work!, it's brilliant. I am completely hooked, and can't wait to see what happens next. You at such a fantastic writer. Thank you xx

cjwoofwoof · 13/04/2016 19:44

Ooh get you pix are you sewing some sergeants stripes onto your parka and practising your stern face?

moojangles · 13/04/2016 19:46

pix, you can start the revolution from within, or just lead them astray

cjwoofwoof · 13/04/2016 19:46

Bad luck nick but rest assured the first 16 years are the worst Flowers

Nickel45 · 13/04/2016 19:49

Confused oh great!

MaddieMoo82 · 13/04/2016 19:51

Any nice teachers or headmaster pix that you can perv admire during the meetings?! Glad little pix is better.
Hope you've made it through the day nickel Flowers
Sorry about your DHs exam kelly hope he's ok X
Manic couple of days with work and had a weird moment today. Was privately messaged on fbook by someone who came through work today. Avoided him as we used to go to school together but he was very weird and haven't seen/heard from him in 16 years. Anyway his message was very odd, telling me he knew I would great and had potential. Was a CJ moment but he's definitely not a CJ Confused

pixieg1rl · 13/04/2016 20:56

Ahh, no male staff, tasty or otherwise I'm afraid mads. I'm afraid the decision to join the committee was purely self interest. I need the after school club to stay afloat otherwise I'm completely f--ked childcare wise.

Still, it's not like I've got anything else to do with my time Confused

DartsTart · 13/04/2016 21:00

(hoping it may coincide with soccer aid...) happy to storm any building / set/ bedroom required - shall I bring the camo cream?

pixieg1rl · 13/04/2016 21:02

I'm pretty sure woof will have everything covered in the anti-chafing cream department

cjwoofwoof · 13/04/2016 21:16

Ah yes rest assured my Bergen is always fully equipped with creams and lotions for every occasion/mishap/stinging sensation dartsy. Let me know if you need a spare flat cap or whippet for the journey oop north too so you can blend in whilst incognito Grin

KellyHb · 13/04/2016 21:26

Oo get you pix. After school clubs are so handy. Loads of mums at school use them.

Oh dear mads, nothing worse than a bad blast from the past. How's your SIL doing? DH is okay thanks, he's at the moment sitting in the living room trying to revise again already. He chickened out telling his boss today but he'll have to do it tomorrow.

Yes woof the flat cap business is all the rage up here. In fact the gorgeous Jamie Fraser in OL had a fab one on the other day.

cjwoofwoof · 13/04/2016 21:53

I rest my case your Honour mads - if it's good enough for Jamie it's good enough for darts - maybe she could put it on backwards to feel the love from Elvis Wink although she may look more like Bill Oddie from the Ecky Thump days if she doesn't exfoliate before departure Grin

MaddieMoo82 · 13/04/2016 21:55

Ah can he resit fairly quick kelly?

Sil is doing ok apart from baby is tongue tied so just getting that sorted. I think she is more traumatised about having 2 children under the age of two at the mo as her other is currently a right handful Shock

Ah yes woof/darts you can get nice and greased up ready with that camo cream Smile

Ilovelblue · 13/04/2016 22:42

Hope Nickel and pixie have made it through the day and have a good night's sleep!

Kelly my neighbour rang the police earlier in the week for an update on the situation regarding the guy who had threatened his girlfriend etc next door to her. Seems he's pleading not guilty at the moment but they are confident he will change his plea nearer the time. He already has a record for assault. They've told her she won't be called as a witness. Most people would be relieved about this but I think she was looking forward to her 15 minutes of fame (can be a bit of a drama queen, would have enjoyed telling everyone about it). The guy himself isn't allowed back to the house and it was part of his bail conditions. There was a charity bag outside the house last week and two other bin bags so we guessed that his girlfriend had cleared out all his things! At least the charity would benefit!

KellyHb · 14/04/2016 10:33

Morning all.

Chucking it down here. I think it's rained all week.

Just having breakfast now. I've just rushed through some ironing that if I hadn't put some bloody effort in, it would've sat there for days. Confused

Glad your SIL's doing okay mads. Is it her first child? Yes, I can understand her being traumatised, I remember feeling similar when I realised I had 3 kids under the age of 3!! Shock

That's good ilove, if she hasn't gone back to her partner. I used to work with a woman who was in an abusive relationship with her partner and it took her years to pluck up the courage to leave him.

I might sneak in an episode of OG before I pick the twins up Smile
