Ooh it's quiet on here today. Hope everyone's had a good day.
Went out with my parents and had a bottle of cider with lunch. Had to come home and have a nap on the sofa before picking DS up from nursery... I'm such a lightweight!!! Shock

pixieg1rl · 19/02/2016 19:35

Goodness me I'm knackered, full day of in law fun here.

MaddieMoo82 · 19/02/2016 19:59

Oh there's an Laurie love update but not sure as its a Harry Potter one Confused

How long have you got them for pix?

MaddieMoo82 · 19/02/2016 20:01

Oh sorry read that back and have made it sound like you are petsitting. Sorry pixie Blush

KellyHb · 19/02/2016 20:24

Evening all.

Busy day here. Food shopping, docs appts for kids etc.

DH hit new levels of being a tight arse. In Asda he grumbled that the tins of beans weren't on offer any more and had been put up to £1 a tin. Oo break the bank! But he was up for spending the cash at the Lottery till. Pffft. Angry

Yes I saw the Laurielove one but if it's Harry Potter, I'm not sure if I'll read either mads.

We've downloaded Humans on Sky to watch. I think it was on Channel 4 earlier last year but we didn't get to see it. I'll give the first episode a go tonight.

Mine are definitely little and pesky woof.

Ilovelblue · 19/02/2016 22:12

Evening all. The only way I seem to motivate myself into doing various jobs once I get home from work is to do them immediately I walk in, before I sit down and have a cuppa. Therefore been quite busy tonight and just finished the most important job.... making sure I'm defuzzed in all the right areas prior to baring flesh in a swimming costume on Sunday at the spa.

Is it next week you're back at work Maddie?

Anyone seen that Greenstuff has updated one of her previous stories? I really like that she's extending it. I never have liked Kinders and she's portrayed him just as I imagined.

Need to go and wash off the Veet now (too much information probably).

KellyHb · 19/02/2016 23:11

Hope to enjoy your time at the spa on Sunday ilove. I met up with a family friend the other day who perhaps lives quite near you. Its Garstang? I think I may have mentioned it before.

Well Humans was really good. Me and DH just binge watched the first 3 episodes and we never normally like the same programmes. I don't know if anyone else on here has Sky but I'd definitely recommend. Probably watch the next few episodes tomorrow night.

Had 3 glasses of wine which is a record for me too.Wine

apsara03 · 19/02/2016 23:42

Another vote for Humnans. The new John le carre adaption on bbc 1 on Sunday looks good too

pixieg1rl · 20/02/2016 06:25

Had a hilarious OG dream. Rich and Orph had somehow seen advance copies of OG2 and were explaining the finer details of CJ's new headset design to Jen's mum. At this point someone I've known since school wandered past naked and ruined the dream.

Ilovelblue · 20/02/2016 07:21

Had you been eating too much cheese late at night pixie? What an odd dream! You don't think it's a sign we might get some news do you? Or was it the in laws playing you up giving you weird dreams?

Kelly our treatments are all on Monday but we can use the facilities tomorrow. Our 'detox' lunch whatever that may be is also on Monday.

Ilovelblue · 20/02/2016 07:23

PS Kelly Garstang is about 14 miles from me .

MaddieMoo82 · 20/02/2016 07:50

Morning all. Yep I was gonna ask the same as ilove, to much cheese?! Are you still 'entertaining' pix?
Yeah back to work next week ilove, Monday is my day off so back in Tuesday Confused
Was going to pop back on last night but passed out on the sofa and woke up at 2am... Bodes well for next week!
So pleased greenstuff has updated that story, it is definately one of my favourites and am intrigued about the Kinders thing.
Good work on the wine kelly! 3 glasses is a bottle I reckon! Wine might have a look at humans... Sounds good!
No plans here today really. Rubbish weather as normal Sad

Onlygirljen · 20/02/2016 08:14

Morning ladies. Nice dream pix, but why is it that it's always exactly who you don't want to see naked who then pops up in that state in dreamland?!

I'm a taxi service for the kids this weekend, Mr Jen working non stop. Redundancy deadline passed yesterday and he wasn't one of the unlucky ones this time - thanks for all the words of wisdom on the topic though. X

pixieg1rl · 20/02/2016 08:36

Good to hear MrJen dodged the cut this time. Has this given him a bit of a kick up the bum to look around for other stuff?

In laws going home today, then I want to get out in the garden again. Quite frankly I just want to be left alone and have someone else deal with children/meals etc and leave me the fuck alone.

Nickel45 · 20/02/2016 08:39

jen so pleased MrJ was ok on all the redundancies, and it's all sorted, weight off your mind xxx

pix, yo brightened up my morning :) shame CJ didn't walk past naked ... Think I'll stay with that image for a while!!

Richtea19 · 20/02/2016 08:39

Hope orph jen and I didn't traumatise you too much pix!!!! Perhaps an single for some OG2 related news!!!

Round two of mini marathon trials today. Then a visit from MIL.... Need to hold my tongue as the money has come through from Late FIL will. She is not honouring his wishes!!! So need to keep my mouth shut (well that's what DH has told me) Grin

Enjoy your Saturday, dry so far

MaddieMoo82 · 20/02/2016 08:51

Really pleased that mrJ is ok this time round jen, hope things settle down a bit for you all now X

Nickel45 · 20/02/2016 09:52

Finally caught up on Shetland. Is anyone watching it? I am loving it! Brilliant!

(Back to kids, shopping, washing and general Saturday chaos now though!)

Ilovelblue · 20/02/2016 10:22

A weight off your minds Jen. At least Mr Jen can look for another job in his own time now if he's still fed up. Or maybe once redundancy loomed, he realised the job wasn't as bad as he'd been thinking?

Intended to finish clearing the front garden but the forecast was bad. It seemed ok earlier but now I've got my act together, true to form it's raining. I'm going to work in the greenhouse for a while.

KellyHb · 20/02/2016 10:29

Morning all.

You made me laugh especially at your dream pix. I hardly ever dream now for some reason.

I wish I could be left alone today too. Both mother and MIL on the phone this morning beefing on about keeping the boys back in nursery another year as they're not ready for Reception in Sept. DH is outside mending the shed roof as its got a leak in and the kids are bugging me inside. I think if we can all get out this afternoon, we might feel better. Confused

Ah that's great news Jen. Yes hope things calm down on that front now.

mads in Humans they have robots that do the housework. I wish we had one.

MaddieMoo82 · 20/02/2016 10:42

I've watched the first nickel but the rest is on the planner, I love it though.
Oh robots for housework sound good kelly I never keep on top of mine. I have no idea about these things... Can you elect to keep the boys out of reception for another year? how do you feel about it?

pixieg1rl · 20/02/2016 10:52

Have they any reason to believe that the boys should stay back a year? I found that DS was ready to move up by the end of the summer, preschool wasn't doing it for him any more. Will they be some of the younger ones?

DS's head gave some sensible advice I think about starting, that they settle well and make good connections when they all start together. If you're concerned or just want something to rebut your family then talk to their school (or likely school) and see what they say. I think we all look these teeny 3 year olds and think 'oh they're so young' but they surprise us all with how much they can cope with.

pixieg1rl · 20/02/2016 10:58

I think we're 2 weeks behind on Shetland nickel, enjoying it though

Nickel45 · 20/02/2016 11:07

kel, hugs. You do what you feel right.

Just have to add my twopennyworth (sorry), but my SIL didn't let her DD start school till the Easter (she turned 5 in the August) and she still hasn't caught up with the basics she missed, and she is now in year 2. They miss so much if they don't all start together, in terms of the very basics of education as well as the social aspects. Sorry to throw that in, but I really feel for my niece, it was hard for her starting late with no "formal" teaching before. (The nursery may not be able to keep them too, once they are supposed to start school, either, worth checking if you are thinking that or something to use if you don't want to hold them back, and I don't think you can postpone past the term before they turn five - one of my friends had a 26 wk premee and he tried to get his start delayed based in his due date, and it wasn't allowed) xxx

Richtea19 · 20/02/2016 11:38

Excellent news about Mr Jen, what brilliant news and now you can relax!
