Happy birthday mooj!! Thanksglad to hear you're being spoiled. Thanks to kuia as well.

moojangles · 14/02/2016 19:37

She has indeed ilove, also the only time she was ever given flowers by my Dad! Snowdrop walk looks lovely, can't wait for ground at home to dry up enough for decent weekend walks

pixieg1rl · 14/02/2016 20:00

Yes, we're very close to Anglesey Abbey ilove, we actually went there today. Lots of snowdrops, but not much time to linger & enjoy them as DS was running around the wild play area. I managed a snap of some beautiful helibores and bought a couple in the shop there (my poor wallet took a bit of a bash)

Glad you had a good day mooj, and another one to look forward to, next weekend :)

Anyone watching the Baftas?

Flippin' freezing here, in bed with socks and jumper on, hot water bottle and blanket! Feeling old!!!!

Ilovelblue · 14/02/2016 21:13

I'm sort of watching it Nickel but am afraid I find Stephen Fry a bit pompous and also I've never heard of half these actors. I'm supposedly writing an email to a friend and keeping an eye on my eBay sales at the same time.

Richtea19 · 14/02/2016 21:42

Happy Birthday mooj ThanksThanks

I'm watching the baftas, I find it all a bit cringe worthy. I try to watch it slightly behind schedule so I can FF through cringe bits!

pixie the hellebore photo is beautiful, my snow drops are out in the garden but I've only seen them from the window!!

pixieg1rl · 14/02/2016 21:54

It's all about Deutschland 83 here. Very exciting

Ilovelblue · 14/02/2016 22:22

The BAFTAs is all about self-centred people for the main part in my humble opinion. I'm going to bed I think now. Night all (though I may check in on my phone on here in a bit).

Mind, I'm guessing all you lot who do Twitter already, already knew that!!?!

Ilovelblue · 14/02/2016 23:25

You're way ahead of me Nickel. I don't get it at all! Sadly, I see the return of the backwards facing baseball cap on dear BA. Will he never learn?

Ilovelblue · 14/02/2016 23:25

He'll have a nice suntan though won't he?

kuiakaituhi · 15/02/2016 06:32

Apsara and others looking for new box sets. Have a look at OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE, Wildly popular here, went to 6 seasons. About a crime family in the western suburbs of Auckland. . We now call people from that part of town "Westies" and they're probably the Kiwi equivalent of Cockneys. Lead played by a brilliant NZ actress, Robyn Malcolm, boss lady, madam with a heart of gold, hot as hell, you know the type. You should be able to get it from Amazon. Also suggest BREAKING BAD.
Thanks for concern about earthquake. It was in Christchurch, yet again. In the South Island, I am in the Waikato, in the middle of the North Island. I know ChCh well, though. They have had it very rough and were just turning the corner when this quake arrived out of the blue, No real damage, no casualties or injuries. People really distressed. Chch was settled by English migrants who came in what we call the first ships and it is still very English in atmosphere and character. They will get through...the whole country is behind them

pixieg1rl · 15/02/2016 08:55

Well my half term plans to take a pitchfork to this dump of a house and actually get something done are scuppered as DS has come down sick. His friend had this last week and it took 3-4 days to get over. Good thing I took this week as holiday!

Good luck with the house full kelly and all others at home with little

pixieg1rl · 15/02/2016 08:57

stupid fingers

good luck for all with littlies I meant to say.

Now to keep a sick feverish child out of the snow.....

pixieg1rl · 15/02/2016 09:03

Glad to hear your're ok Kuia. I knew a couple in Christchurch in the last quake it was scary sounding stuff.

Nickel45 · 15/02/2016 09:27

Hope littlie is better soon pix. You have snow your way?

Did a bit of idle googling, found this about Titan:
Filming of 'The Titan', a major sci-fi adventure starring Avatar's Sam Worthington and Ruth Wilson and directed by German director Lennart Ruff, begins in February 2016.

Gran Canaria is a major setting for the British-funded movie and filming is scheduled over two months.

The Titan is set in the future in a world short of food and on the brink of war and is about a military family's journey to a NATO base to take part in a ground-breaking experiment about genetic evolution in space. Writer Arash Amel has described it as, “at its core, a love story that is set in the pioneering edge of space exploration, a world of fear and wonder”.

Guessing BA has another small role, given he's supposed to be in SA in a few weeks time?

Have a lovely day everyone. I've just discovered my kids have decided to make paper machier .... I'm trying to convince myself it's because they want to be creative and make beautiful things rather than just stick lots of newspaper all around the lounge, that'll serve me right for thinking I'd be ok to make myself a coffee!.

cjwoofwoof · 15/02/2016 10:27

Morning all! Busy weekend at Woof Manor ripping out a kitchen and filling a skip. Of course we met DSs new girlfriend for the first time looking like Worzel Gummidge and Aunt Sally. Not helped by DS telling her firmly that it's not true - he's seen his parents looking a lot worse! Little bleeder.

Belated Happy Birthday mooj hope you have another goodun next week too. Flowers

Quite pleased orph is sunning herself in Tuscany just at the same time Matthias is bringing his salami to Berkshire for a good grilling. Don't think I've forgotten that intercepted pic of Les Dawson in the mankini either, orph . It's firmly ingrained on my brain like that snap of you and dear Ian modelling his new Ringpiece Sad

Glad you're ok kuia - there seems to be so many natural disasters all over the world at the moment it's terrible.

Ooh nick I've never gone down the papier-mâché route - that's what school's for Grin The only creative materials we have at home are felt tip pens that live in their packet and can only be looked at Wink

moojangles · 15/02/2016 10:54

Have discovered my Mum still has the same window cleaner and I still can't look him in the eye. Same age as me & due to a lack of blinds in my late teens & 20s he has seen far too much of meBlush

Nickel45 · 15/02/2016 18:55

Oops mooj, did he recognise you? Wink

moojangles · 15/02/2016 19:19

pixieg1rl · 15/02/2016 19:31

moojangles · 15/02/2016 19:38
