Sarah to win tonight, I reckon.

OTheHugeManatee · 02/03/2016 15:17

Lucy cannot be allowed to win this.

I shall be writing to my MP if she does Angry

bibliomania · 02/03/2016 15:23

Thanks ppeat, I missed that one. Based on facial expressions, I'm not sure all the home-owners were quite as ecstatic as Tom made them sound.

ppeatfruit · 02/03/2016 15:52

No I know what you mean biblio but they tend to look most uncomfortable half way through and seem to feel (maybe) that they are SUPPOSED to love it when it's finished, so they sort of do for the cameras. We can ask Slummy If they felt pressure to LOVE it at the end Grin

I suppose if they burst into tears right at the end Grin it wouldn't say a lot for the judges' choices of designers.

Just catching up so I can watch the final tonight. Lucy's stuffed animals.....Oh. My. God. WTAF? OTOH, I've got the same paint colour (Little Greene's Celestial Blue) in my kitchen.

Slummy, those sofas don't look comfortable at all! But I'm very, very envious of your beautiful home and its setting.

dillite · 02/03/2016 19:04

Why oh why did you lot have to point out to me just how annoying Lucy's voice is? Now ALL I can hear is grate, scratch, grate in my ears when she speaks.

BicycleMadeForTwo · 02/03/2016 19:04

I think I'm the only one that prefers Lucy's designs to Sarah's. Plus Sarah looks permanently like she is about to kill someone.

dillite · 02/03/2016 19:07

Orange ceiling? Was there leftover orange from Slummy's house that she has to use up?

GrouchyKiwi · 02/03/2016 19:08

Ooh, exciting to get a client who's saying No from the off. Sarah has completely ignored the brief, by all appearances.

annandale · 02/03/2016 19:09

What on earth? Is this a setup? How could Sarah think that was the way to go?

dillite · 02/03/2016 19:09

I am not sure who is being more unreasonable out of the two- Sarah or her homeowner.

hazeyjane · 02/03/2016 19:11

Kelly Hoppen - jesssuuuus, the blandest of bland

Sarah IS going to kill the client isn't she!? 'End OF'

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 02/03/2016 19:11

I can't see how Sarah's so way off her brief. Is it a total set up?

dillite · 02/03/2016 19:13

Kelly Hoppen "designs" every single space the same- lots of shiny beige surfaces/ shiny grey surfaces/ shiny brown surfaces/ glitter/ oh and 100 shades of beige.

GrouchyKiwi · 02/03/2016 19:13

What is their budget this time? I missed it.

GrouchyKiwi · 02/03/2016 19:15

I hadn't heard of Kelly Hoppen.

hazeyjane · 02/03/2016 19:15

I think set up.

What people don't realise about Kelly Hoppen is that she is actually part mushroom - she needs beigeness to thrive.

dillite · 02/03/2016 19:16

Grin Grin Grin Hazey

Sarah's homeowner looks like she's about to cry.

SingSongSlummy · 02/03/2016 19:20

Just checking in for first time today. Will answer a couple of questions then concentrate on tonight's!

bookish there was a sit down for a couple of hours with the producers to discuss and firm up a very precise brief prior to the show believe it or not

Farty and others, the sofas are surprisingly comfy (and good for lying down too!).

Manatee they did say they would finish anything unfinished and make good anything that was really not to our taste. In reality I don't think the team particularly wanted to hang around after filming had finished!

Neal in a grade one listed house, the only place to fit the cat flap was in the window!

ppeat I believe Barchester Chronicles was based on Wells so it probably was filmed here.. Yes, Grade one listing means we are not allowed to do anything to the walls etc. and yes, the residents of the street are still the choir (and virgers/other cathedral worker said)

GrouchyKiwi · 02/03/2016 19:22

Bloody hell Sarah is having a rough time of it. She should have learnt to stay on brief by now.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 02/03/2016 19:22

That homeowner is the client from hell

dillite · 02/03/2016 19:22

I once saw this this stall of beige in Bluewater. I knew it was Kelly Hoppen's stall before I saw the name. Then I saw the prices. That beige shit was not cheap.
