Which children's TV Series did you remember from your childhood?

I came across a book I bought as a child The December Rose. I loved the series. Around that time I recall it was quite standard for the BBC to produce a brilliant series for children.

Ones I can recall (though not sure if they were all bbc) are:

December Rose (obviously!)
Moondial
Box of Delights
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrode

There were more I'm sure can anyone remember other ones (obviously different ages will have different memories!). More impressively can anyone recall what day they were broadcast on?

Moondial was weekday, during children's tv hours I think, and Box of Delights on Sunday evening?

Don't recall Chocky.

Mind you if it wasn't bbc I doubt I'd have seen it. ITV was terribly common you know - got in to terrible trouble once for watching Tizwaz older sister dobbed me in

mimi I loved Chocky & Chocky's Children as well! I vaguely remember a boy...he used to talk to a hazy vision type thing, his parents sent him somewhere to be 'tested' then were people "after him"?

Somebody mentioned this programme on a BBC site today and it brought back a load of scary memories.......anyone remember The Changes (circa 1975 ) it was about machines turning on humans and they made a strange noise. Bloody spooky it was!

Whathaveilost · 19/01/2016 19:11

I used to like the Tomorrow People. They were always of jaunting somewhere.

scrivette · 19/01/2016 19:25

I remember Little Sir Nicholas, I loved it and would love to see it again. The evil aunt was called Mrs Tremayne.

Also enjoyed California Dreams and Saved By The Bell.

CozyLinusBlanket · 19/01/2016 21:38

Chocky gave me nightmares! You can find it on YT, but I'm not going looking! It was about a boy who heard an aliens voice in his head, and faces appeared in the walls, etc. Even the theme tune was creepy!

Squeegle · 19/01/2016 22:05

Yes, the changes- with all the pylons!! Very scary.

theliverpoolone · 19/01/2016 22:06

Whathave I was trying to remember the name of that! I vividly remember being really scared by it - all those creepy noises!

Loved White Horses, Belle and Sebastian, Follyfoot, Carries War, Kizzy, and all the ones listed by Costa earlier.
