My prediction is that Phil will have a liver transplant that will go wrong, and he will need a blood transfusion or something, and it will turn out that he has a really rare blood group (Group PH for Potato Head or something) that only Grant shares with him... so Grant will have to come back and give blood. Grant will get back together with Shazza leaving the path clear for Shirl and Phil!

Zainab was vile to Syed most of the time, glad she's gone. And I think I'm slightly biased about Shabnam, growing up there weren't any decent female Asian characters on TV that I felt reflected me as a young female Asian, there's so much I like about Shabnam and the fact that she's not your stereotypical Asian girl being dragged into a forced marriage!

It pisses me off that the writers have completely transplanted Zainab's personality. The former Zainab wouldn't wash her hands off her family and let Kamil live with Masood on a long-term basis.

Kalfie (or Shane and Jessie) were on the One Show yesterday. They said they will film in Ireland and those episodes will air in October.

I didn't get why Zainab sent her kid away either. How many mothers would want their son to go abroad for months on end so they could have a 'break'? She didn't even get on a plane for her daughter's wedding or to support her after her stillbirth.

I'd love to see Zainab back. I used to love the comedy side of the Masoods. I agree that some of the stuff Zainab has done since she left the square would seem very out of character for her. I guess the writers didn't know how else to explain her absence?
