Just watched - ooft!!

At first I was thinking oh Shirley don't let him do a runner, then I was thinking oh she's going to steal his clothes so he can't get rid of them and turn him in. Really was not expecting that!!

And yes to Shirley having tried to do the same to Mick as a child

Poor Roxy, when Ronnie didn't answer the door I felt so bad for her but I actually think it worked out for the best her moving on and reaching Linda

Will Phil not undergo any treatment then?

I didn't watch last night and have been excitedly waiting for DS to go down for his nap to watch this morning so only just caught up.

I can't be doing with any of the Phil/Sharon/Denny/Gavin stuff. I don't think the episode needed it. Plus they are all such unlikeable characters.

I'm so relieved Dean didn't drown I hope he goes to prison for a long time by I doubt we are going to get any real closure on it for a while. Poor Roxy though, I thought her acting last night was particularly good. And Linda.

yes, it was good to have Roxy getting to Linda, Ronnie would have screeched at Dean, and then arranged to have him bumped off!

Both Roxy & Linda's acting has been fantastic I think. And I like the way they show you what happens when you report to the police in a (presumably) realistic way.

I bet the actress is horrible too. Apologies if she isn't but I always imagine her to be full of her own importance.

Re Fat Boy, I don't think the car was actually crushed? I'll need to check but I'm pretty sure Vincent got there just as the car was being scooped up by the claw thing - at which point he threw the guy out. Next thing you see is Vincebt in the crane-thing, then getting out and opening the boot which he surely wouldn't have been able to do if car had actually been crushed. So I whilst I think Fats is dead (or whoever was in the boot) I think they suffocated rather than squished???

Yes that's what I thought. Still awful, but somehow seems 'better' than being crushed like that! Also agree with PPs that the acting last night was awesome

Im going to watch it again this afternoon dh had a coughing fit during Lindas bit and i didnt hear dean say he raped Linda i was trying to be sympathetic to the cough but was inwardly tutting

Ooh maybe Mrs Jayy, though I remember lots of smashing glass so it could have been through all the windows - it would have flipped up if just the boot and it was horizontal (#over-investedSmile) . I'd have felt the same about the coughing fit too! Was a good moment, long time coming

Whatever happened horrible cruel death. I watched it again Lindas face of pure relief was amazing I hope dean doesnt die and is arrrested but i suspect he will die can he be rearrested in England for the same crime he got off with ? the drowning scene had lots of snot going wanted to wipe shurls nose.

MrsJayy, he can be arrested for the same crime if new evidence comes to light. I just found it really hard to watch and am not looking forward to future episodes.

MrsJayy - definitely worth watching again. Linda was brilliant.

Dean wasn't even charged with Linda's rape, so I imagine he could be rearrested. not sure he will be though.

Hope the new year storyline actually finished this one off and he doesn't just disappear for a couple of years.

When Shirley said she wanted Dean's clothes to burn them, i wondered whether she wanted to keep them as evidence, or keeps them intending to burn then, and then will turn them in.
