New thread for Eastenders gossipers! Who will come back from the dead next?
Will the Bobby storyline ever end?
Will Claudette ever decide on an accent?

Yeah like Charlie's body didn't actually lay there from Thursday to Monday. So it's still last week.

I would say tonight might be a new week but that would mean Stacey and Martin have sat tight all weekend

MissBattleaxe · 12/01/2016 11:13

Oh I see. It's funny because they're usually broadcast on the date its supposed to be if you see what I mean. Sometimes they add in scenes about the world cup or the general election for example.

SoupDragon · 12/01/2016 11:16

I think they struggle to do that with longer or more complicated stories like the current Stacey one. Despite it being for several episodes, she's only been completely submersed in her psychosis for a day or two I think.

SheHasAWildHeart · 12/01/2016 11:44

I hope Martin gets her some help. I know he's worried about her and Arthur and having Kat, Alfie, Belinda, Mo, Lily and three other kids coming and going, isn't good for anyone. He can't keep her hidden in her room.

When Kush said "I won't put the baby ahead of our marriage", if I was Shabnam I would have slapped him. It made him sound so selfish and uncaring towards a child, like you can just have a kid and forget about it. No, you're supposed to step up, admit to what you did and take care of your child. As Shabnam, I would then have given Carmel two slaps.

MrsJayy · 12/01/2016 12:19

Nosey sonia will get stacey help I think,Rebecca hasnt been to see the baby yet she will come over Martin wont let her see Arthur Rebecca will be hurt sonia will storm over and shout at Martin about his new family Martin will break down sonia will ring the Phsyc nurse will drag out though

unimaginativename13 · 12/01/2016 12:20

Sometimes two episodes over two days is just one day so no they don't just broadcast the day it's suppose to be.

BlueThursday · 12/01/2016 13:24

Why hasn't Jean been to visit? I know they had a row but you'd think she'd pop by to see Arthur.

But of course within 2 seconds Jean would notice Stacey was ill and that would be the end of that I suppose

SheHasAWildHeart · 12/01/2016 13:33

Jean is so attention-seeking she'd make it all about her.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned Lacey Turner's acting on here, but I thought she's been amazing.

notquitehuman · 12/01/2016 14:30

Lacey Turner is a great actor. She's one of the few cast members that will have a decent career when she leaves.

MrsJayy · 12/01/2016 15:29

Lacey left and did a few things and went back tbh she was just stacey in the thing i saw her in. Jean and Ollie are on a cruise

DoubleDeClutchMuch · 12/01/2016 17:41

that could just have been type casting though Mrs Jay

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/01/2016 19:47

Yes Stacey's acting has been fab !!!!!

Just amazed that no hv gp midwife been round as know her mental state .....

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/01/2016 19:55

Finally he tells Kat tho is it beign?

Youarentkiddingme · 12/01/2016 20:02

Wow - that was a a good episode I thought. I thought all the actors were really good tonight too.

Very impressed they had Shabs questioning how she feels towards a man that will ignore his son for her. I felt they really used her simple quietly spoken lines to say a lot without having her having to say much at all.

And Phil confessing Shock

notquitehuman · 12/01/2016 20:27

Eastenders is pretty good lately. I'm glad they didn't string out the Alfie thing any longer, or the Phil confession. Better to have them confess now and move on to other storylines.

What's with Belinda's outfit though? Ballgown, wrap, and gloves. It looks like something a kid would put together as a princess outfit. She just needed a tiara!

seasidesally · 12/01/2016 20:28

yes was a night of confessions

DoubleDeClutchMuch · 12/01/2016 20:31

I enjoyed it and I like Kat and Alfie now!

TotalConfucius · 12/01/2016 20:54

It will have to zoom forward shortly once The Longest Day is finished (by my reckoning we're at about 9pm so the night is young!).
The way this is going, We'll probably find its Jade's 16th birthday, Tam and Nancy have quads and Sharon is running tea dances in the community centre!

LovelyFriend · 12/01/2016 21:52

Well thank goodness Alfie was honest finally.

Optimist1 · 12/01/2016 22:40

Yes, a huge outbreak of honesty tonight - Alfie and Phil coming clean. Although I'm not convinced that Alfie's tumour has officially been diagnosed as being benign, has it?

unimaginativename13 · 12/01/2016 22:44

Do you think that will just decide to take down the Xmas decs after such a stressful day?

SalemSaberhagen · 12/01/2016 23:02

So Kush is definitely the father? I got really confused when Stacey told Shabnam he wasn't, and then whispered to Arthur that they could never tell who his real dad was. Or was she talking about God there?

MagpieCursedTea · 12/01/2016 23:52

Pretty sure she was talking about God when she said Kush wasn't the father.
There was a lot of very decent acting tonight, great episode.
I didn't hear it very well when Alfie was telling Kat about the brain tumour (dog was barking at invisible things a potential threat to everyone's safety). Did Alfie tell her he was diagnosed before they went to Spain? I was surprised Kat didn't have a go at him, tends to be her standard reaction to everything.

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 13/01/2016 07:07

He did indeed admit that he knew before they went to Spain.

MissWimpyDimple · 13/01/2016 08:28

Belinda was on the way to a Masonic Ball she said!

I think Stacey was referring to God as rubber Arthur's real dad.

My best bit of the episode was when Kyle rushed into the pub and said they had to leave and his mates all starting downing their drinks Grin. People in soaps leave far too many expensive drinks for my liking. It just seemed very "real" somehow
