Eastenders gossipers into the new year

New thread for Eastenders gossipers! Who will come back from the dead next?
Will the Bobby storyline ever end?
Will Claudette ever decide on an accent?

Yes the Bobby thing is dragging on forever, maybe they've realised it was actually a really shit idea to have Bobby as the killer just to stop anyone guessing. The whole square will know soon and someone will start selling t-shirts on the market that say BOBBY KILLED LUCY.

I'm sure I heard the script writers reserve certain exits for characters depending on how much they like them, and the back of the taxi exit is pretty low. So Fatboy exiting in the trunk of a car might be a covert "fuck off" to the actor. Certainly explains why Peggy walked off the square with a handbag, they were probably too scared to put her in a taxi.

place marking

Jasonandyawegunorts · 28/12/2015 07:05

I imagined Ricky Norwood sitting down to watch with a WTFshock face, knowing he'll never be able to redeem himself and come back.

All they have to do is get Dot to tell someone that nobody but her knew that Arthur had an identical twin brother, the only way you could tell them apart was that Arthur was clastophobic while his brother loved hiding in car boots.

then have a knock on the door, followed by "Hello Mrs B"

LineyReborn · 28/12/2015 07:12

Dame Barbara Windsor. Is it true?!? Shock When she comes back as Peggy Mitchell she won't be able to help herself acting all regal.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 28/12/2015 07:14

When she comes back as Peggy Mitchell she won't be able to help herself acting all regal.

So nothing will have changed then?

LineyReborn · 28/12/2015 07:30

I'm thinking that other members of the cast will have to genuflect and walk backwards when they leave a scene with Peggy in it. With extra bowing and scraping.

I'm assuming that the honours committee didn't see the bingo adverts. National treasure my arse.

Why? Everyone knows dead isn't necessarily dead on eastenders. It could have been some other random person of the correct ethnicity wearing Fatboy's necklace in that boot...

Is Stacey's psychosis fact based on spoilers or is it just assumed because of how she is behaving?

LineyReborn · 28/12/2015 09:52

I'm assuming it from the fact that Stacey appears to have given up on speaking.

I don't look at spoilers. Spoilers bad.

VashtaNerada · 28/12/2015 09:57

I'm Shock and Sad at Fatboy. Such a lovely character. And I was hoping we'd have a Pam & Christine Christmas dinner! Maybe next year...

DustyOwl · 28/12/2015 10:29

Hello, I'm a long time lurker and watcher of Enders. This xmas' story line has made me de-lurk...totally agree, the Fat Bot story was way too harsh an ending to a much loved character. I always loved the relationship between him and Dot, one of the sweetest on the square.

I think Vincent has big doubts about his Mum and what happened to his Dad. He seemed genuinely shocked about seeing FB in the car (who wouldn't) maybe he thinks it's gone too far? I'm not sure really, I like Richard Blackwood but his acting is sometimes hard to figure out.

Lastly, please, please, please can the Lucy storyline stop now. Totally agree, far too tedious now and boarding school? Really? How many times can people be "dead to me", personally something I have never heard in RL.

Wow, that was a long first post on a board! Sorry, a lot to get off my chest.

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 28/12/2015 10:40

I don't look at applies either but everyone seems to be stating Stacey's psychosis as fact so I wondered if it had been released as a spoiler somewhere. Also all the Son of God remarks.

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 28/12/2015 10:41

I think Vincent lied to Ronnie about who was in the boot of the car because he knows it wasn't her fault and must have been Claudette.

Redcrayons · 28/12/2015 11:18

Turkey - it has been released as a spoiler.

I think they've written themselves into a corner with the Bobby storyline. Having the original four from the live episode knowing and keeping quiet was just about OK. I can even see how Sharon would keep quiet. But Lauren and Liam would let Max go to prison to keep quiet? And Phil doesn't care so why would he?

MagpieCursedTea · 28/12/2015 11:25

Stacey's postnatal psychosis has been well publicised by EE as they've been working with the charity Action on postpartum psychosis. It's one of those things that they mention in advance as it can be potentially very upsetting for people who have been through it (like Linda's rape scene). They didn't mention any details, just that she would become ill.

Notgivingin I thought Vincent had feelings for Ronnie (for some unknown reason) which is why he's conflicted about the Mitchells and he didn't tell her about Fatboy. Didn't he try to send her out of the country to save her from being arrested a couple of weeks ago? Gangsta love blud I should never try and talk like that.

cleanmachine · 28/12/2015 11:41

Arghhhhhhh fuck off with the Lucy Bobby story EE writers or ill have to pop by the square and throttle booby myself. Then I'll go for shabs (gurning whining theatrical acting, it's not live theatre ffs!) And finish with gangsta gronnie. Sick of her poker face acting.

Really distressed by the fat boy story. Abbie had been caught with illegal highs, Phil dogging, Alfie shagged a super fan and they all got away with it. It was a really boring and miserable few episodes. On the upside at least Stacey is almost mute. Can't see how she bothered to come back to do the same old stories of sleeping with married men then having her MH episodes.

cleanmachine · 28/12/2015 11:42

And I'm sick to death of funny man Vincent (we can't stop laughing at his acting) calling Ronnie blue eyes all the time. Drives me metal.

TheGingerBreadWoman · 28/12/2015 11:47

Isn't Alfie the baby's dad? I thought when Stacy was sitting on the step talking about the big secret then Kat turned up was a huge clue???

ThatsNotMyRabbit · 28/12/2015 12:10

Me too Ginger.

LineyReborn · 28/12/2015 12:32

DustOwl welcome to the world of posting about the misery of EE Smile

Apparently reports of Dame Peggy Mitchell may be inaccurate. It's a better story that all the ones in EE though.

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 28/12/2015 12:43

Not that well publicised as this is the first I've heard of it :o

LineyReborn · 28/12/2015 12:46

Martin still hasn't noticed.

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 28/12/2015 12:52

I wonder if he is reluctant to make any comment about Stacey's mental health as she has given him hell about blaming stuff on her bipolar before. Also, he's not had much time to notice so far as he's been in the pub celebrating.

LineyReborn · 28/12/2015 12:59

Carmel's 'concerned face' is bloody annoying. Is she going to keep in up for the next 18 years?

Buttons23 · 28/12/2015 13:00

Kush is the baby's dad, eastenders have confirmed that. It's just Stacey is ill and will be convinced the baby is God's. Thats why she crossed her and the baby. The next couple of episodes will make it clearer.

SheHasAWildHeart · 28/12/2015 13:26

Apparently Kat's sister Belinda is coming, more Slaters meaning more misery.
