New thread for Eastenders gossipers! Who will come back from the dead next?
Will the Bobby storyline ever end?
Will Claudette ever decide on an accent?

I think Mick will turn whitney down and she will turn in to a bunny boiler

notquitehuman · 02/01/2016 00:28

I really can't see Mick cheating. I think you're right that it'll be a bunny boiler storyline. I'm guessing Babe will shit stir and cause lots of drama too.

I thought there was supposed to be a second death on xmas/new year day. Did I miss something? Shock

SinisterBumFacedCat · 02/01/2016 00:38

Just watched it all. Nancy absolutely stunning. R&r mum just reading her lines, goes to the same Peggy Mitchell school of acting. The children in EE spend an unnatural amount of time playing quietly on the carpet whilst the adults have tense conversations. They never runaround the house hanging off your limbs screaming "Mummy! MUUUMMMMMEEE!" maybe that's just in my house

That dressing gown was so short I spent the last 5 minutes anxious that Little Mick might make an appearance.

Eminybob · 02/01/2016 03:37

Dean has been drowned to the point of not breathing twice in the space of a week and both times got up and walked away unscathed. Yet poor Fatboy was in a car that didn't even get crushed....

I don't really understand the whole Mick wearing a dressing gown thing, and how did Alfie suddenly get a suit? Don't they have to be fitted in advance?

I think they should have cut the bottom off of Linda's dress, that's what I was expecting, to mirror the length of Nancy's.

And was Shirley wearing something of Tina's in the end? Confused

Aside from the dodgy wardrobe decisions it was rather enjoyable.

I'm so pleased dean got arrested and Mick and Linda ended up married. Phew!

VashtaNerada · 02/01/2016 07:17

I think the pink dressing-gown and flamingo slippers was a nod to Linda's dream about there being flamingos at her wedding.
And I agree, Mick won't be interested in Whitney but she might be in him. He'll end up in an awkward position where his gallantry will be misconstrued.

Youarentkiddingme · 02/01/2016 07:22

Did anyone else notice Babe had a sinister look of glee on her face when Elaine said Shirley ought to return to a proper licencee?

There's 5 episodes next week I think? I believe iys on on Wednesday and 2 on Thursdays and it's not on on Friday?

LineyReborn · 02/01/2016 07:40

Dean must have gills under that massive beard.

Eminybob · 02/01/2016 08:29

Vashta did you notice the garish plastic flamingoes outside the hotel too? Classy.

To be fair I was very very surprised that the wedding took place at a nice hotel, like normal people have. I was 100% expecting the reception to be at the vic.

MissBattleaxe · 02/01/2016 09:13

Yes I think Whitney will get obsessed with Mick.

I thought it was a bit unrealistic that Dean was under for so long and just had a bit of a cough before walking to the police car.

IslaMann · 02/01/2016 09:22

Also it's impossible to revive someone who is in cardiac arrest without a defibrillator, especially using the piss poor technique that Mick was using for both the rescue breaths and chest compressions. Even if Dean wasn't in cardiac arrest those rescue breaths were woefully inadequate. Guess DD doesn't fancy MD'A as much as Scott since he wasn't prepared to snog him!

snowypenguin · 02/01/2016 10:20

I liked the wedding outfits. Ok not what I'd chose but then I got married in trousers and a top. I liked how it was made individual. I am really not into all this traditional stuff when it comes to weddings!

MrsJayy · 02/01/2016 10:21

Micks first aid was hilarious inflate lungs till they are fit to burst then batter chest and repeat till dean splurts up water

MagpieCursedTea · 02/01/2016 10:48

Mick's first aid technique was so bad, I didn't think Dean was going to survive. I was hoping Vinnie Jones would appear to show him how to do it properly Grin

People on soaps are always drowning and coming back to life, or waking up from week long comas with absolutely no consequences. I don't think we've ever seen a character with brain damage who has needed rehabilitation. Except maybe Patrick and his slurred speech after his stroke.

SymphonyofShadows · 02/01/2016 11:32

Dean didn't rape Shabnam did he? I'm sure she said it was a ONS in a nightclub loo or something.

Gwenhwyfar · 02/01/2016 11:41

I thought he did Symphony. I thought I saw her telling Stacy, but nobody else and it was the reason why she didn't want to keep the baby.

MissBattleaxe · 02/01/2016 11:42

Dean is like Rasputin. He cannot be drowned. They'll have to bury him in ice or use a silver bullet.

Youarentkiddingme · 02/01/2016 11:47

I'm so glad others picked up on the CPR! I'm first aid trained and was cringing! I especially kept thinking he can't come back to life and was expecting a scene with a defibrillator and a cliff hanger where he was carted off in ambulance, wedding took place and no one knew if he was dead or alive.

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 02/01/2016 11:52

All I know about CPR is from things like Casualty etc and that Vinnie Jones advert. Even I could tell it was shite :)

However, I also knew that, despite the calls of "stop it Mick' he's gone!" Dean would cough up a fountain of water and make a miraculous recovery. If he was going to die, they would have left him floating.

MrsJayy · 02/01/2016 11:53

I think Shabnam was ashamed she was pregnant after a ons I dont think Dean raped her,

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 02/01/2016 11:55

I don't think Dean raped Shabnam - or at least she didn't see it that way. I remember her telling Stacy about it and it was just sex in a nightclub toilet with both being drunk.

RJnomore1 · 02/01/2016 11:56

I think shabnam blamed herself because she had been drinking.

MrsJayy · 02/01/2016 12:00

Yeah i think it was all of the above I am sure

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 02/01/2016 12:11

I remember her making a big thing about the fact that he was drunk.

DoubleDeClutchMuch · 02/01/2016 12:14

why was Witney shoved off to take Ollie for a walk and so missed the wedding ceremony?
I'd have thought she would be there for the ceremony scenes.
