So pleased J and A won -he won my heart through the series with his lyrical effortless dancing and his modest personality. For me all the really memorable dances of this series have been from jay, all the dances that moved me have been from Jay - he is so much more than that jive - IMO he's done the best jive ever on strictly, the best male rumba, and unforgettable tango, salsa, paso and charleston. I thought he was head and shoulders above every one - he has a really unique quality and it's something you can't learn - like when a singer has a beautiful tone to their voice - it's innate.

I'm glad so many other people agreed with me and made him the winner - despite the best efforts of to push K and K.

Well done Jay and Aliona (and Georgia, Katie and Kellie)

I don't think KK were ever going to win, no matter how good they were as they're just not popular enough. I do feel sorry for Kevin though - 3 finals and hasn't won any of them. I'd be wondering if the public hated me if I were him! He must be due a duffer next year though.

I'm a bit disappointed that G&G didn't win but I'm not surprised at J&A. As much as I can't stand James Jordan, his comments are normally bang on the money and he's been saying for weeks that Jay will win. Plus, Jay was the only one who'd never been in the dance-off so already had the advantage of appearing to be the most popular. I don't think he won off the back of one dance - I've liked a lot of his other dance (his tango was one of my favourites that I've watched lots. I wish he'd done that again if he didn't want to do the jive). Now Chris Hollins was someone who really did win off the back of one dance IMO.

Anyway, I'm not normally one for guessing romances but even I thought J&A looked very lovey dovey at the end. Lots of gazing into each other's eyes, and the way Aliona was stroking his face looked quite intimate.

For me (with some dance training) Jay was head and shoulders above the rest from the beginning.
Ok he's trained... but his feet, legs, posture, turns, lines, everything is amazing and lovely to watch. Jive was jaw-droppingly good.

Georgia caught up and is also a beautiful dancer but her personality grates a bit.

Kellie clearly is popular but I never saw her as even on the same level as the other two.

It's refreshing that a shy, quiet person has won on his merits!

Also, many trained dancers don't look 'natural' like Jay does. He has 'it' when he moves.

I do appreciate he's not the best at selling himself and not the best performer though. But that is his charm I guess.

I've enjoyed this series - which I really didn't expect to when the celebrities were originally announced. Also liked the fact that any of the final three could have won.

It's been great reading these threads too.

Kurri I couldn't agree with you more and I agree with you Pandora about his Tango but I suppose they thought they'd only done it recently.

I enjoyed their Show Dance I don't agree that Show Dances have to be all mad and frantic in fact when they are they lose the dance element and can seem a disjointed mess of acrobatic moves.

K&K's showdance was good but very like their Charleston and a lot of other dances they have done, I thought J&A's was more classy and clever and suited his style.

One distinct plus, NPP will be pissed off with that result.

I think Kevin tends to rely on speed and showy routines too much in his choreography, he doesn't really produce things you would say were beautiful.

Pleased Jay and Aliona won. My husband voted for Aliona, I didn't care but found Giorgia's predictable weepiness and kevin's smugness irritating. Dance wise I think they were much of a muchness.

Apparently G&G's blindfold gimmick was used by the winning couple in DWTS this year which is a bit disappointing.

Would be fair for the one at the top of the leader board to be runner up as the BBC don't release the details, imo.

K&K were top I think, had 2x40 while G&G scored lower.

I am almost about to admit that Aliona annoys me less these days but am aware of Christmas and Strictly induced sentimentality, so I declare she's still smug as all hell and Jay was spellbound by her and she'll probably never contact him again. Look how dismissive she was of Harry Judd. "Oh Jay is my best partner ever."

Plus they shouldn't have won, I'd have preferred G&G but would have accepted that performance wise, K&K were the best pair on the night.

So no wonder you were abandoned. Mark my words, trouble lies ahead.
