Just read Kristinas blog for Ok magazine about why her and Ola weren't there last week. All the pros get one week off from the group dance and this week it was their week off. As neither are in the competition anymore, they stayed at home.

I would like some new ideas other than Blackpool, Halloween, films etc. How about a week devoted to old time ballroom, or big band era, the golden age of ballroom.
I have full on Darcy envy apart from her nose.

Am also fed up of Blackpool. So they need a mid-series boost but, yes, something different.

I love Blackpool - it's such a fab place that needs some TLC, so any promotion it can receive to boost tourism is worth it for me.

Plus I do agree that the tower ballroom is a special place!

Do ballroom championships still take place there?

I'm glad they gave up on Wembley - I hated those performances.

I love Blackpool - I really hope they don;t stop doing it there - I didn't like it when they went to Wembley - that was awful. I don't like Halloween week either -totally spoils what would be lovely dances by having to have a halloween theme.

Agree Wembley was was awful, it just didn't work.

I really don't think there's anything going on with Jay and Aliona, her husband drove them to Blackpool and you would have to have a hell of a lot of chutzpah to pull off an affair in those circumstances and I don't think Jay is of that ilk. I also think Aliona is a bit 'mothering' towards him.

Did you hear Lois Smith commenting on NPP? He's also tipped him to be in the dace off, I don't think Lois is an NPP fan and what he said about the way he was dancing was spot on!

I have to say I find Gethin Jones an appallingly bad presenter, him and Chris Hollins need to be put out to pasture.

Totally agree, Echo about Gethin and also Chris Hollins. They've both been embarrassingly bad doing the ITT presenting!

I don't if anyone else ever listens to Fighting Talk on Radio 5?
Gethin Jones is on that sometimes and he's dreadful

Louis was asked a) have you met NPP b) is he a mate and he dodged b) pretty effectively whilst also telling it like it is on the subject of his jive training footage, so yay for Lovely Louis.

The looks on the faces of the pro dancers, particularly the newer ones, and some of the celebrities during the Geth and Chris cringefest on the ITT Friday shows have been priceless! Does no-one in production notice these things, do Geth and Chris never watch it back?? I would die of shame if I was so bad at my profession.

To be fair it's not easy doing those 'live' type interviews and moving about things, but, yes you'd think they'd get someone who knew what they were doing, whoever he was yesterday in Blackpool ITT was very amateur.

Mel was funny about everyone's white teeth on Strictly, she's right though, how do they get their teeth soooo white!!!!?????? It's like they have a special treatment that responds to a particular light in the studio. The type of light they used to have in discos etc. Ultra violet?? (old gimmer emojji )

The fillers like the rock questions and the Cliftons reminiscing were tedious - that's what I dislike about Blackpool, too much emotional guff and too many gimmicks and not enough information about the dahhhnce. That man dressed as an ice-cream cone

Louis was v enjoyable. Everyone else apart from us has been all gushing over PA (do not want to think of his NP).

Redknap I think she's a Footballers' wife and or an ex girl group member\model.

Fiderer Louise Redknapp, I think she was in a pop group in the 90's(?), she is married to Jamie Redknapp an ex footballer (played for West Ham, Spurs and Liverpool) and son of Harry Redknapp, ex football manager.

There was a rumour that her and Jamie were going to be on SCD this year but Jamie refused/pulled out which is why Jo Clifton didn't have a partner but I don't know if that is true and Louise seemed to fudge the question when Zoe asked her.
