A new thread as we head towards the worst part of every soap year - Christmas.

Dreading the return of Simon.

Dreading more of the arr Gareh & Alya "plot".

When did the brewery close and become a convenient empty garage?

Agree Corrie so not clear but I only half watch it these days I fast forward through Fizand Tytone.

Sophie is a mega bore. I'd rather dice an onion then watch her follow her mum around the street.

My guess is they'll put Sophie and the new factory woman together they always have to pair any gay characters.

I think so too. Wasn't the story of how factory girl met her girlfriend something like they had a row in a pub? Factory girl and Sophie had a bit of a barny about the cars on the street as well so I'm fairly certain that's how it'll go!

I had the same thought re Sophie and the Connor girl. I was surprised when they actually did introduce her girlfriend for that ridiculous birthday party stuff on Monday night.

I saw it suggested recently, on another forum, that Stuart Blackburn is determined to create a big mess, or should I say, continue creating a big mess, to leave for Kate Oates to sort. I agree. That thing of Callum under the Platt house is too ridiculous for words. And that is just one of the many ridiculous, badly done storylines.

Kate grimaced a bit when her dad mentioned a wedding so that's probably going to be the reason for her and her fiancé to split. It's so predictable.

I don't understand why they have brought all these Connors in, or where they have all come from and why they have all come at the same time. Where did they all live before?

Its probably to still have Connors in the factory once Carla goes. Perhaps they are going to try and make Kate the new Carla? She reminds me so much of a young pre-David Posh Spice.

I'm sorry to see Tony gone. He was a three-dimensional character played by a really good actor. I hope the new producer brings him back next year.

Not looking good for Kate and 'too intense' Caz. Never mind, there's always Sophie.

Agree re Tony, a very good character, very well played. I hope he returns, when Corrie gets back to better things.

Agree Tony is brilliant, I always felt like I should have hated him but couldn't.

Tracy shouting abuse at him/people from across the street is getting so boring.

Isn't it just Jo40, she's such a horrible person, I wonder what Robert sees in her.

They could have built up the Tony Liz storyline over a few weeks but it was just rushed as per.

I think they want to recreate the early days of the Connors where there was a clan of them, a bit like the Baldwins were too with various off shoots. Carla and Michelle are the only original ones left so they need reinforcements. I quite like that they've picked actors who have a look.

The pub thing has been as confusing as hell but I do remember seeing that Steve is in fact the licensee, it was Liz in pre Stella days due to his convictions, but when they bought it back Steve was able to out his name above the door as his convictions were spent.

I agree that the Luke Steph thing is silly, nobody ever just does the normal thing of telling them.

I really thought Carla did buy it?

Incredibly dull story about the photos and races, or whatever it is, I just tune out. I like Steph, and I think her character could be much better used. That story is just so dull.

Agree re Tracy, she is just so tiresome.

I have just read that Rob is returning at Christmas. How can that be? He went to prison for murdering Tina. Would he really be let out so soon?

I hope this is a dull month before it picks up for Christmas.
