The actors playing Claudette and her son are 59 and 43 and they look those ages or a bit younger, certainly no older!

So for Claudette to have been a sex worker contemporary of Pat Harris and Gavin's mum, given that she is about 14 years younger than Pat, and that Pat was a prostitute in her late teens and early-mid twenties, is just not credible.

The woman who played Claudette already played Mercy's gran so they are probably hoping we won't notice that she is at least 15yrs younger than they are making her out to be. i believe that Tracey the barmaid has been in the soap from the start. I could be wrong but I think I read this some where once. she was a market stall holder too once. Adam Woodyatt, (Ian Beale )and Sharon have been in it from day one, although she did leave for a long time and has been in and out of it over the years, unlike Adam who has never gone on to do other work.
I prefer Phil sober, he plays a good drunk, but he is better as the hard man looking out for his family - but then I do have a soft spot for him!! probably because he was actually quite nice when he first came in the soap many years ago.
I agree that they shouldn't have got married really - its never been happy, being shot at by your ex on your wedding day should have been a red flag. But Sharon likes doing things the hard way!
