ice I married a few months after my 30th too! 30 didn't worry me, i wasn't keen on 40!!! I wonder how I will feel about my 50th .

All day meetings today, but DH is coming down to meet me later. Might ask him to take me up the Shard

I have felt strange as each decade birthday has approached but then loved being in my 20s/ 30s / etc Even coping ok with 50s, though everything's definitely heading south!! We are about to celebrate dhs 60th, which seems a real milestone.

I haven't really minded getting older tbh. I think I'm probably acting younger the older I get. Not sure how that works really (its probably to do with all the years I've spent stuck in the house looking after babies) but I keep trying to say to myself age is just a number

So ice are you saying the new series of Reign is on Netflix? Would you be posting clips of BA in the episode anywhere in case people don't see the episode?

You still feel and act about 14 but it's your mum who's looking back at you in the mirror every morning, and your nan buying comfy clothes in Bonnemarche. Grim

After watching Ratatouille last night with youngest DS (I know, mental or what at my age?), he's decided he wants to go to Paris and "try the food". I assured him if it was prepared in a rat-infested cafe we would certainly not be eating in there, but he won't be deterred and actually said it can't be worse than my cooking - little bleeder I soon put him straight that the microwaved chicken tagliatelle meal for one he had for tea was Italian not French so ner, ner, ner!!

woof. We've been known to have quite a few microwave meals in this house, I can tell you. We're not into the whole fresh cooking thing unfortunately. It's mostly just chuck something in the oven for half an hour and see what it tastes like at the end

Morning all. Missed last night as went out with a friend for a meal. Was lovely to get out, first time I've left DS in the evening (left him daytime) since he was born nearly 6 mths ago. No drink but lovely food and chat.

My thirties are way better than my 20s, although on my 30th I was living at home after just finishing uni as a 'mature' student, that was a bit depressing but was handy for getting my washing and ironing done!

Blimey mads you're doing well. DS is 4.5 and I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I've had an evening out either by myself or with MrP. I've had one night away from him in my life, and that was because I was in hospital with suspected appendicitis.

Ah yes pix my trusty wolf fleece will come in jolly handy now the winter is approaching. I'm just fitting snow chains to my tartan shopping trolley wheels in preparation too. Was the lady rummaging in the microwave ready meal 3 for 2 aisle? If not then it wasn't me I'm afraid.

Unfortunately kel I'm the statistic that Jamie Oliver bases all his Sugar Tax data on, but one of the joys of being 50 is that you can just crack open another can of Coke and laugh (oops my iPad wanted to auto correct that to Come - God only knows why)

Think even I would struggle with 330ml of that all fizzed up and overflowing out of the can mads and kel ... must ask orph what tactics she employs - she has a very strong gagging reflex normally...

Woof and her can of Coke or alternative was the last thing I read before half my front tooth dropped out at lunchtime. Cue panic phone call to the dentist who could fortunately fit me in so there was no way I was driving back to work. Am currently working from home/hosing down the paths where the garden guys have been/checking in on here and firing off a few work related emails.

My dentist is private and charges an arm and a leg (though fortunately we get dental insurance from work) but I got a real surprise as she said she had done this filling in June so there would be no charge as they guarantee their work for a year! Even though we have the dental insurance, it doesn't cover the entire cost so I was well chuffed with what she said.

Best send some more emails so folk know I am really working......

I have just read it ilove and what an unexpected treat it was . Loved the whole story and the way she told it. That was a good result from your dentist, it's not often that we can skip out of the dental surgery

Right DH is a douchebag this evening. No amount of persuading is working with him for us to get Netflix free for a month just so I can watch one episode of Reign. He's worried about being tied in to anything and then having to be a member. In a way I agree as I'm suspicious when anything's free.

Anyway I don't know anyone with Netflix so going to have to hope someone puts the episode on You Tube. I bet BA has lots of QS in it too.

Netflix is easy to cancel. MIL and FIL had it a whole back in his name and cancelled. It no problem at the end of the month.
