I think Boring Grandson will give Christine a lot of support. He'll empathise with him having to conceal such a secret and going against the grain. He'll see why Les was so secretive and appreciate that he didn't cheat on Pam. And when Pam doesn't support him, he'll side with Les and be disgusted at Pam.

Ian and jane are so gullible. Why has nodody asked ' where is Phil?' Wouldnt you think they would smell a huge rat?
Paul will support Lestine i am sure. I feel for Pam though.

Ian especially seems to have amnesia. So scenes of his mother asking him about the death of his young daughter, his breakdown, just anything and everything. They seem to live in fairy land at the moment - Ian just floating about and Kathy hiding from a fake gangster.

What will Kathy say to Ian when she doesnt buy her new place? Shocked that Jane is letting her get away with so much. Her and Sharon were suspicious of her at first too! They must realise Gavin is still about?
Its beyond silly, mum comes back from the dead and next thing Ian is finding 50k? As if you would!
..Bobby was so rude what he said about Sonia too at dinner. Ian has his own restaurant , Beales, why doesnt he have everyone there for a family meal? Dots reaction to Kathy was priceless!

Doesn't Phil go missing a lot? I'm sure he disappeared after being released from jail, so it makes sense that they wouldn't be too panicked about his disappearance. I hope that storyline gets resolved on halloween because this gangster shit is so boring.

Was Kathy always such a weak, pathetic character? I don't remember much about her.

Amazing that IAN can get £50k easily considering he was bankrupt and signed it all over to lucy a year or two back

Kathy was fairly feisty, she split up with Ian's dad, peter, was blackmailed by Nick cotton over a child she had as result of a rape when she was very young ( the child was called Donna I think, she was in the soap for a while) Kathy was attacked by a man called Wilmott brown too, she worked for him as a manager in his bar. She wasn't as pathetic really as she is now- she had a lot to say and had huge rows with Pauline's mum - lou beale ( also her mum in law)she was married to an alcoholic Phil Mitchell for a while, ben had meningitis as a child, hence his hearing aid. so she had a colourful 'soap' life. ( probably more stuff too, but cant remember)
but this 'new ' Kathy is much more annoying.
Blonde, so true, he did sign it all over to Lucy after his breakdown ( when he tried to kill himself the first time around) but not sure if she gave some it back to him before she died? she may have done, she was running her own business I remember, with Lauren Branning. I think she may have done. oh well, he wont be too happy when he discovers it was only to save Phil's skin, they have a real love / hate relationship.

Ian will be lucys next of kin so probably went back to him. I just wa4ched last nights thought les and pam were great the fqct he lied diagusts pam not that he is a transvestite ex social worker or not your initial reaction to your husband lying to you all your life together is going to be a shock.

Pam said tonight she was disgusted at him. Even said about him wearing her pinny and to take it off - where he often wore it and she didn't every say anything about it lol

Years of physical and emotional abuse from Gavin may have taken their toll on Kathy's confidence - I think that's what Gillian Taylforth and the writers are trying to convey.

If someone I knew came back from the dead first I'd scream, then I'd cry, then I'd sit down as them a million questions. If you're Ian you just start endlessly cooking and shrugging your shoulders.

And I don't understand why Ian telling Kathy about Bobby was the 'duff, duff' of Tuesday's episode. She hasn't seemed remotely bothered about Ben killing Heather or Ben being in prison. The audience knows it was Bobby. So what? The sooner Gavin kidnaps Kathy and they both leave the better.
