It would be the ultimate betrayal to Shabnam to have Kush turn out to be the father of Stacey baby. I don't think I could bear it. With the death of her baby, having to be their for her pregnant friend throughout her grief, the turmoil over her adopted daughter and then to find out her fiance, who she thought was equal in his grief had not only sagged her best friend but now had someone to fill, to an extent, the void left by the loss of baby Zair, whilst she goes on grieving is just cruel beyond words.

I still find the grieving scenes very, very hard to watch. As a mother, it's just raw and I find them very upsetting to watch.

That was such a rubbish episode compared to Friday's.

Ronnie, just do Dean in and be done with it. If she wanted to keep Mick out of it then why not just stop following him round trying rope him in?

And I feel slightly aggrieved on behalf of Dirty Den that they've taken his 'Ello princess' line and made it Gavin's.

Bit puzzled over the shazza gavin adoption

Sharron found her birth mum (carol?) but at her funeral so never spoke to her. Her half brother who was doing the estate gave her a box of letters etc

How did carol not know that her ex gavin sorted out the adoption ?

I thought carol gave shaz up as couldn't cope?

Sharon also met Carol. her real mum, years ago too but I don't think it went that well and she made it clear she didn't want any real contact with her. This ' bartering her away' is complete nonsense I think although according to Sharon's wiki page she was adopted by Den and Angie when she was 3 so she must have lived with Carol up to then, then Margaret, Gav's sister sorted out the legal papers. Why cant they just make it a bit straight forwards. Dennis watts was a lot of things, but a bank robber I really do not think so! We were always led to believe he was a landlord and had the Vic for years, was a bit dodgy obviously, but never a thief on that scale. All really silly. was it Sharon that let him go? the police should arrest them all for being time wasters, the amount of time Jane used to call them to fess up about Bobby, then back out. They may as well just move their police station to the middle of the square by Arthur's bench.

She was apparently fostered by Den and Angie before adoption according to, I think, the "EEWiki" page.

I was surprised how long it took the police to get there given they are only a short walk away according to the map.

Yeah the only dodgy thing he ever did on the show was buy case loads of imported booze and hide it from the brewy, or buy stolen stuff from Nick Cotton, but everyone did that.

We got everyone from the photo right, including Phil and Vincents dad, Like two peas in a pod those two, never left each others side.

Now he's escaped this storyline is free to drag on. I think it's going to merge with the Bobby/Lucy storyline as Gavin will threaten to take the Beales and Mitchells down with him.
As if being told you were 'sold' off as a baby is made ok by the fact that your dad said 'hello princess'. :/

Realistically, the storyline was never going to end with Gavin being neatly collected by the police this early on.

Jason, I have watched since day one and your right, Den did a few dodgy deals here and there ( and was killed by the mob too , although he didn't really die, just pretend for years not to be alive) but I cannot recall bank robbery ever being mentioned at all. Surely he would not get a licence if he had some kind of criminal record ? I thought to get a pub licence you had to be vetted and so on, police have to check you out? I could be totally wrong, but surely someone would have to do some kind of checks?
anyway, Den bank robber - Gavin bartering Sharon away to the highest bidder - it all doesn't ring true. ( I know its only a soap!)

Did they say it was a bank job? I thought it was a "big job" and assumed a big scam/dodgy deal rather than a bank robbery.

Jason, true. The Mitchells didnt know anyone on the square when they first arrived. Trouble is, the writers like to re write history hoping we wont notice.
Im sure Gavin said ' bank job' last night.
Sounds as though Den and Angie shouldnt have been allowed to foster or adopt Roly their dog, let alone a poor child given their background..
